North Dakota Republicans killed a free lunch program.

Are the kids hungry while they are in school?  Then yes, it is a schools problem.

They really are some of the most pathetically selfish, hypocritical people in existence.

Former Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake said on Thursday that it would be a "big red flag” if any 2024 Republican presidential candidate did not believe her 2022 Arizona election was stolen.

"I ask you that every candidate who comes through — when they stand on this stage, when they’re shaking your hand, when they’re walking through town, taking your questions — that you ask them where they stand on election integrity,” Lake said at a local GOP event in Nevada, Iowa.

"And I think you should get even more specific, ‘Was the 2022 election for governor in Arizona stolen?’ And if they won’t say ‘Absolutely, yes,’ that’s a big red flag,” she added. "That’s a big red flag. Ask all of them.”

They care more about the fetus. Once it's born they turn their backs on them. Prefect example. Pro Life my azzzz.

In Florida, DeSantis continues down the anti-business, anti-freedom, path. Now threatening Disney with new taxes and tolls, as these won't be passed on the the consumer.

Quote

The Walt Disney Co.'s (NYSE: DIS) Walt Disney World — the nation's largest single-site employer, with nearly 75,000 Orlando workers — has four local theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Walt Disney World alone is the top generator of visitors to Orlando, with more than 50 million people going through its turnstiles in previous years — many of those repeat visitors.

Might be time to send out feelers to states that might welcome this sort of business.

I don't know how you physically move the infrastructure

You don't. You build a new, modern park in a place that wants your business. States would jump at the chance. All that revenue.

Part of the entire thing is the warm winters. You don’t just move it to another location.

Winters aren't much different than South GA.  Not that I think they'll up and move, but the weather shouldn't deter them.

There are other warm places. Florida is clearly Anti-Disney. Why should they stay?

They no longer run the county, they will need to depend upon a state that has it out for them for all services.

Exploring other sites might just teach that moron DeSantis a lesson.

So now the leftists in here have determined that "whats next for the GOP" is for Disney to move out of Florida

Theyre going to stay in Fla and pay a ish load of taxes and be just fine.

the best part is, this is going to screw over a ton of the people that voted them in.

Different enough. I looked it up and Orlando average highs are 71 in January and only 51 in Atlanta. They need to put it near a city. I guess near Jacksonville could do it with average January highs at 62. That’s still a pretty big diff though. Weather is absolutely a factor.

The chance of moving is slim to none in my opinion. They’ll either just wait out DeSantis or come up with some political compromise.

Average Jan temp in Savannah is 61.  They wouldn't put it up near Atlanta, it would be near Sav.  Savannah's significantly bigger than Orlando was before Disney.  It was a little military base town.

Not seeing it happening.

Neither do I but S. GA is a pretty decent option, especially since we've had a couple of very business friendly Republican governors lately.

I still think it is too cold even with the Savannah temps though I agree Georgia would be the best option. Has to be east coast and blue or at min purple state and has to have a mild enough winter.

I cant fathom not providing free lunches when its probably just an expansion of an existing program.  WV has a program like that and Im happy to pay more in taxes.   I imagine ND is probably even more rural than WV and the thought of kids not having enough to eat is gut wrenching for me.

Yeah, it really just can't be a state controlled by National Socialists like Meatball Ron.  Florida's only going to get more big government.

Going after Disney isn’t as smart as conservatives think it is.

Disney's not moving out of Orlando. It's one of the most visited tourism destinations in the world. If anything, they might decide to pour more money into their Cali or international parks but they're limited on space there so at best it's refurbishment and retheming projects. Most of the money was traditionally dumped into Disney World because of how much capacity they have with on-site hotels, so maybe this changes the calculus a bit, but they'd be just as wise to wait until the authorization fascist leaves office and Trumpism continues to die a slow death after Biden curb stomps him again in 2024.

I don't think that word applies here.

Get ready for a blue tsunami in 2024. GOP is pissing everyone off.
