Participating in democratic government is too woke for Texas.

Well, all that posturing about "protecting kids" it's good to see one of them actually follow through on it.

GOP is the party of hate. But not as much hate as ISIS, Taliban, and Al-Qaeda, if that is any consolation.

You have to be a complete idiot to believe Trump spent any time serving in the military, Mr. bone spurs himself.

I hope everyone has moved their investment portfolio's to a more defensive position as the GOP gets ready to crash the economy. 3 times they raised the debt under Trump but now they demand conditions? It's going to be an economic disaster and that's just what they want. It is being done to help Trump.

3 out of 4 likely Trump voters (Republicans) believe he actually won in 2020.

Every one of these reasons is why Republicans are losing elections.

Remember when all the trumpbots tried to act like the party was ready to move on from Trump? Pepperidge Farm does.

And yet not a single policy in sight.  All that matters is culture war BS.

When Trump loses in 2024, I wonder who will go along with his conspiracy to stop the certification, and overturn the results. Because the only fair election is one that Trump wins. If he loses it was Rigged.

Better yet, turn off the TV. Go outside. Talk to people. Can't you find a better hobby?

The Texas Senate just voted to give the Sec. of State the power to overturn elections in Harris County. Get that. the Law only applies to one county.  This is the largest Dem County in the entire State. This is what happens when the S. Court gutted the voting rights act. Now, If Trump loses the county the Sec. of State has the power to overturn the results in the County and award the votes to Trump.

Voting rights are dead in Texas. The U.S. Constitution does not apply in Texas.

Republicans have to lie, cheat and steal to win elections.

He should go to a football game.  After all, he is the former coach of the most trash college in the country.

Interesting article about the shifting political landscapes.

In some ways, it’s a typical 2023 progressive food fight, with intimations of racial insensitivity (against the folks who said something nice about Carlson), and rebuttals about lefty censorship (against those who criticized the piece).  But this dust-up is actually more interesting than that, because it involves a notable change in the wider political landscape: The rise of the populist right means there are more Republicans saying positive things about traditionally left positions on issues like trade and corporate power.

Given that many of those populists have racial and social views that progressives find appalling, the question across Washington’s progressive organizations is: What’s the right way to think about working with them — or even just praising their break from GOP orthodoxy? So far, there’s little consensus on the question, and a high danger of vitriol in cases where it comes up, even when the cases don’t involve a lightning-rod like Carlson.

With MAGA abandoning conservatism, they've aligned themselves with the far left in a lot of ways.  The question for the Bernie crowd, is do you embrace their common cause or do you shun it because of the social side of things?

It's really intriguing because it leaves the door open to completely new alliances where the radicals in both parties one day team up against the moderates in both parties.
