White Alabama mayor says even if he did have a ‘secret meeting’ to keep Black mayor out of office, it’s not ‘so egregious’ as to be a civil rights violation

The white mayor of a tiny Alabama town less than an hour from Selma has argued he should be immune from a civil rights lawsuit, claiming that holding a secret meeting to keep the city’s first-ever Black mayor and five Black city council members out of office is not a sufficiently clear violation of constitutional rights.

Patrick Braxton, along with James Ballard, Barbara Patrick, Janice Quarles, and Wanda Scott, sued the city of Newbern, Alabama and alleged that despite being legally entitled to take office, they were prevented from doing so when white residents "refused to accept” the results of a 2020 election. They argue that Haywood "Woody” Stokes III, Newbern’s white former mayor, conspired with his council, other government officials, and a local bank, to illegally install himself as mayor even after Braxton fairly and legally won the election.

Alabama is like the Home Capitol for White Supremacits. It's like their Graceland.

systematic racism is not real.

What it must look like, when a secret cabal of White men, try and overturn the election and keep the negroes out.

The whole story of this town is crazy sauce. The town's population demographic is nearly 2 black residents for every 1 white resident. But the town's government has always been held by white people: a mayor and town council. They did this by holding secret meetings every 4 years, mayorship was passed down by whomever the council chose to hold office. Nobody in town knew there was an election. Braxton figured this out. He was the only candidate to file for mayor, thereby winning the 2020 election by default. But since the town's government was always run clandestine to any election rules, they refuse to seat him. The way the entire town's government is run is a civil rights violation. But the previous officeholders will argue it isn't. Until that huffy Braxton showed up, that's the way it's always been.

This Hitler and Holocaust crap is getting real old.  It's Fing ridiculous. But hey, Obama wore a tan suit and Biden wore sneakers so that's just as bad.

Paul Gosar’s Newsletter Features Website That Calls for Readers to ‘Stand up for Hitler’: Report

According to MMFA’s review of USSA’s recent articles, posts include the promotion of a "documentary” claiming that the NSDAP death camp Auschwitz was not actually an extermination camp. "This Documentary exposes lies. I am up for that. Any Lie must be exposed,” the author (writing under the pseudonym "Constitutional Nobody”) wrote. Another article, published Friday by Constitutional Nobody, advised the reader to "watch out for so-called ‘pro-White’ online activists who are trashing [Adolf] Hitler’s legacy, or just giving Hitler lip service.”

"Stand up for Hitler,” the writer added.

Earlier this month, USSA published a piece lauding the NSDAP dictator for doing "everything in his power” to prevent the destruction of the white race.

Some of these guys really need to learn when to retire.

Hint: it's before you start considering Depends.

They all need to just let go and fricken retire.  Diane feinstein doesn't even know where she is or who she is.  Yet the idiots in this country keeps putting these people in office despite complaining about Biden being old and senile in the same breath.

Feinstein and Pelosi should both retire.

Politically there are few people I loathe more than McConnell.

As a human, I hope he gets the medical treatment he needs and is able to recover as fully a possible.

Ishing his pants mid-sentence is the best case scenario for what happened there. Hopefully that's all it was and not indicative of something more severe,
