Make America great again, build the wall, stop the steal, make America great again… again, trumps lawyer fund, keep trump out of jail fund, get trump out of jail fund, bury trump at his golf course fund, decorate trumps grave fund… the trump org will take every single dollar the morons give them for as long as they can.

The guy will be spending the entirety of 2024 in litigation as a defendant, won't take part in any of the candidate debates, and Republican voters will gleefully cast their votes for him to be their nominee -- that part I get.  His base is about 37% of the general electorate who are mostly uneducated, old people, and/or hold racist and populist views.

The part that's more difficult to understand is why the Republican Party doesn't do the math and figure out Trump cannot win a general election without electoral fraud.  He got 41% of the voters who identify as Independent in 2020 (26% of the electorate); I can't imagine that number will increase.  He only got 32% support from first time voters in 2020 -- those would be young people turning legal voting age and immigrants, one would suspect.  He only got 31% of the 18-24 age group.  His lowest support is from young people, and more turn 18 every day.  His highest support is from people aged 50+, more of whom are dying every day.  His support among non-white voters (33% of the electorate) is less than 30% and he makes no effort to appeal to those groups.

In my estimation, the only way for Trump and Republicans to get out of their current mess is for Trump to make a deal before the primaries begin -- he steps aside, throws his endorsement behind a candidate who privately pledges to pardon him, and the Party runs a viable, electable candidate against Biden in 2024.  I just don't think they have the brains to do it; Republicans are going to "Thelma and Louise" another electoral cycle away.

That would be an intelligent move by the Republican Party, but that’s not going to happen. They’ve already passed up multiple opportunities to step away from trump, but haven’t out of fear of losing votes from his cult following.

This is business for trump and his organization, name recognition and capitalizing on the cult created. He’s not going to step aside for anyone else to benefit. They are going to squeeze every single dollar they can get… for themselves. They don’t care about the ‘future’ of the Republican Party or the welfare of the country. Trump wants power and money for himself. He would burn the entire country to the ground if he had a buyer for the ashes.

Yeah they're all over. But we're also getting a couple Buc-ee's as well. It's like Texas is followed us here.

That's not fair. Donald left a perfectly useful letter behind for the next administration
