In a Red Trending state like Ohio, this has to be terrible news for Republicans. A 14% defeat. Wow. Voters reject the Power Grab. Good news for Joe and 2024.

The measure being voted on, called Issue 1, was rejected by a margin of 57% to 43% with nearly all voting precincts tallied by Wednesday morning.

August Special Election Results. I think having more referendum votes by State is a Great Idea. Democracy works when people vote, no matter how the GOP tries to stop that from happening.

Which is why he quoted it again, he's so proud of it, it's a step up.

You know how scary it is, not knowing if somebody is sexualizing you.

Speaking of Matt Walsh, this is totally something only a pedo would say.

Good luck chumps, Putin is making a special place for you.

edit: Don't worry, it won't be that love your neighbor Christian. It will be typical American Christian with as much knowledge of Christ as they have of algebra.

Totally normal behavior.

Eventually all fascists cast religion aside when it's no longer useful to them.

Were Jesus alive today, he would be branded as a liberal hippie and crucifed by the Maga Cult for not being extreme enough.

Makes me wonder what Christians are being taught in Church. Love thy neighbor or execute the evil and santanic Dems.

From the article

Quote

Moore also said that one problem is that many Christians simply feel alienated and lonely, as politics have come to take over the community outlets that churches once held.

"The roots of the political problem really come down to disconnection, loneliness, sense of alienation," he said. "Even in churches that are still healthy and functioning, regular churchgoing is not what it was a generation ago, in which the entire structure of the week was defined by the community."

The right has alienated themselves in real life (the left too but not to as far of an extreme), they've cut ties with family over politics, their church attendance numbers are down.  They're old, fat and alone.  They've literally ruined their own lives in service to Trump.  It's incredibly sad but not at all surprising considering they're in the largest cult in the history of mankind.

Major GOP donor Anton Lazzaro sentenced to 21 years in prison for sex trafficking minors.

Quote

Anton "Tony” Lazzaro was found guilty in March by a federal jury of seven counts involving "commercial sex acts” with five girls ages 15 and 16 in 2020, when Lazzaro was 30. The charges carried mandatory minimum sentences of 10 years with a maximum of life in prison.

His co-defendant, Gisela Castro Medina, who was 19 at the time, formerly led the College Republicans chapter at the University of St. Thomas. She pleaded guilty to two counts last year. She testified against Lazzaro and faces sentencing in September.

Prosecutors argued during his trial that Lazzaro enlisted Castro Medina, who he initially paid for sex, to recruit other teenagers — preferably minors — who were white, small, vulnerable or "broken.” He often sent cars to take the girls to his luxury penthouse condo at the Hotel Ivy in downtown Minneapolis, they said.

The sources of Lazzaro’s wealth have been murky. Defense filings have called him "an up-and-coming real estate owner and entrepreneur.” Items seized from him included a 2010 Ferrari and more than $371,000 in cash. The government put his net worth in a bond report at more than $2 million but said its calculations didn’t include his "extensive” but hard-to-trace cryptocurrency holdings. It noted that the search yielded multiple types of foreign currency, plus precious metals worth more than $500,000.

Every.  Single.  Republican.

What a shock.  If the Republican Party had any balls, they would expel Trump as a nominee based on this alone:

Trump says he won’t sign RNC loyalty pledge, will share debate plans next week

I like that Christie said he'd sign it and honor it in the same way Trump would
