But you're just looking for excuses why this doesn't count. Bizarre. It has zero effect on you. If Biden did an interview on Twitter and got 100 million views (would never happen), you'd be touting it as the greatest thing since sliced bread. The numbers haven't been released by Fox yet - but projections were 50 million viewers which is a great number for Fox. Son, you're the one projecting - and for no reason but for that I hurt your feelings in the Russia/Ukraine thread by pointing out some uncomfortable truths to you. Just admit that the Twitter interview was a smashing success for Twitter and its viewership significantly exceed that of the Fox broadcast debate. Unless of course we see Fox' viewership numbers that significantly exceeded their projections. Either way, no denying that Twitter scored a huge win yesterday. But I imagine you'll cling to finding an excuse that Twitter did not have a good showing with its Tucker Carlson broadcast last night. You do realize that one day soon Dems will be taking advantage of this platform in the same way. Will you be willing to admit then that Twitter can be a good platform in such situations?

But, I'll bite - from Twitter's perspective, what was unsuccessful about Tucker Carlson's interview of Trump last night that was steamed on the platform?

The difference between people like you and other people is that people who despise Obama recognize his popularity among many and expect media events involving him to have high ratings despite their personal animosity toward him.

August 24, 20232 yr I watched a bit of it, then caught some highlights. After maybe ~30 minutes in the middle, I just couldn't take it and decided to watch Hard Knocks off the DVR. Anyway, here are my thoughts: Burgum: Seriously, why are you here dude? Just go start your podcast or whatever. Being a total unknown with zero personality is not a winning strategy. Scott: I'd call that performance extremely disappointing. Scott is the guy the donors want to love (post DeSantis), but he was barely noticeable on stage. At some point he has to get in the game. Hutchinson: He did what we went there to do -- attack Trump. He has no chance, seems like a nice enough guy, but it's time for him to follow Burgum out the door. Pence: Guy actually showed some fight, which was surprising. He's clearly trying to appeal to the evangelical base, and it's real with him -- he is extremely religious. Unfortunately, a good portion of the evangelicals will never forgive him, so he's dead man walking. Christie: High scores for entertainment value -- the chatGPT line was great. He can't win, but exposing the fraud of others is fun. Ramaswamy: He might as well change his name to Vivek Trump at this point. He clearly is trying to position himself as the heir apparent if Trump is disqualified. His complete lack of knowledge was badly exposed last night, and it will get worse as people dig into his past. He'll win the Drudge snap poll, but all those people would vote for Trump if the lead singer were there. He's the understudy who is somehow even more insane. DeSantis: Honestly, he wasn't terrible, but he did nothing to turn around his flagging campaign. I'm not sure there is anything he can do at this point. Haley: She made a decision to pivot to being a traditional Republican in the Reagan/Bush/McCain mold, and she hit Trump and the others on stage pretty hard. Watching her undress Vivek on foreign policy was fun. All in all, I guess Haley was the "winner," but Trump was the real winner as none of them had a breakout performance.
August 24, 20232 yr I will say -- I'd be willing to support this version of Nikki Haley for President. Let's see if it lasts.

Yep, Scott was the loser, Haley was the winner. In that any of them win, since their entire campaigns are just waiting around for a dude to go to prison.

No one denies that Trump has a large following of cult members, you demented ward of the state. But you're on page 4 of saying that Trump got a lot of views on Twitter. It's completely unhinged. Literally no one cares.
