To be fair a bunch of us wasn't expecting the whole party to drink the Kool-Aid. I'm sure there's some politicians that don't agree with trump but are scared to go against the cult. They all need to be voted out

I honestly have no clue why you'd expect anything else.  If you've been paying any attention, you'd have seen the GQP has been completely batshit insane for years now, and there's no way for them to go back to being the party of sanity that they once were. They're all in on Trump and have been since he won the nomination 8 years ago.

He literally gathered an angry mob and sent them to kill members of congress and they still didn't turn on him. If that didn't tell you all you need to know about the cult like status of the republican party, I don't know what to tell you.

Guess I should have mentioned a timeline in my post. I wasn't talking about now...

Trump’s GOP is already dying

But Republicans’ willingness to bow to Trump on nearly every issue is making their party staggeringly unpopular with voters — and not just the rank and file. Colorado Rep. Ken Buck stunned Capitol Hill on Tuesday by announcing that he’d simply had enough of Trumpism and would resign in just about a week. In an interview with CNN, Buck slammed Congress as "dysfunctional” and remarked that many of his constituents were sick of Trump.

It isn’t just Buck who’s had enough of Trump’s constant demands for loyalty and submission. Some of the party’s biggest fundraisers are already sitting on the electoral sidelines rather than raise or donate a penny to Trump. Now Newsweek reports that Lara Trump’s RNC takeover is driving even lifelong RNC financiers out of the party.

With Trump about to turn the RNC into his personal ATM and donors abandoning the party in droves, Republicans could enter the heat of the 2024 campaign season unable to compete in a host of critical swing races. That’s going to be a real problem, because GOP candidates have a lot of ground to make up if they want to hold onto their jobs.

Do any of the Republicans left here, think Trump taking control of the RNC is going to benefit the GOP?

It is going to hurt them in the next election. Trump is going to back all the wrong people for the wrong reasons.

RFK Jr.’s VP prospect Aaron Rodgers has shared false Sandy Hook conspiracy theories in private conversations

Rodgers brought up the tragic killing of 20 children and 6 adults by a gunman at Sandy Hook Elementary School, claiming it was actually a government inside job and the media was intentionally ignoring it.

It was the second impeachment. When he was acquitted I knew he was the leader of the gop until he dies. I knew he would be the nominee in 2024. When he loses in the fall, he will be the nominee again in 2028 if he's still alive. Mark my words.

Something happened to him. The people who knew him when he was at Cal said he was the nicest person they'd ever met. Then maybe 5 years or so into his NFL career he cut off all ties to his family and many long time friends for seemingly no reason. It was shortly there after he started spouting whacky conspiracies. Listening to him talk, my guess is he has severe brain damage.

all while ignoring better candidates that could win, simply because they don't fall at the feet of pumpkin daddy.

But they don't see it that way. They see Trump as a perfect and unbeatable candidate. The only reason he loses is because its all rigged against him. I mean read the utter insanity written by the Trumptards that post here.

Hair-Raising Details of New Jersey GOP Senate Candidate’s DUI Emerge

Zdan, who is running for the seat currently held by indicted Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez, swerved into oncoming traffic and grazed another vehicle at around 10 p.m. in Hopewell Township, according to an investigation report from the Hopewell Police Department. The collision knocked a mirror off the other vehicle and left scuff marks down its passenger side.

Zdan allegedly left the scene. A police officer later found Zdan sleeping in the driver’s seat of his Dodge Ram in a parking lot, according to the report, adding that fresh scrape marks were visible on his vehicle. Police woke Zdan and noticed that he had "slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person,” the report says, with officers also noting an open bottle of wine "that was missing liquid contents” in the driver’s side cup holder.

Asked by an officer if he’d been involved in an accident, Zdan allegedly answered: "I don’t think so.” The report said officers also asked what Zdan had had to drink, and he replied: "I believe you have the wine right there.” He then failed field sobriety tests and blew a 0.25 on a breathalyzer, three times the legal limit, according to the report.

Cool, replace one criminal with another, and one who drives drunk at that.

There's no way RFK Jr. takes more votes from Biden than he does from Trump.

Anti-vaxxer -- match

BS conspiracy theories -- match

No actual platform -- match

I was honestly thinking RFK Jr was going to be Trump's VP pick, tbh.

The concern is that morons with the IQ of a carrot will see the name and immediately think "ooh, a new democratic candidate from the kennedy family and he's not old!"

Nevermind the fact that RFK Jr is 70 himself, and also happens to be absolutely batshit crazy.

Thankfully, limited ballot access might alleviate some of those concerns.

and so are a bunch of young (mostly uninformed) voters who don't like trump for obvious reasons or biden because of what's going on in gaza.

I don't know a single liberal who's said anything about RFK.  My brother, who used be a communist (and maybe still is), is either voting Trump or I could see RFK.  He's never mentioned him, but he's insane so RFK or Trump appeal to his demo.

Luckily it doesn’t matter much because the opinions of communists dont count.
