You'd think this should bite him in his fat arse. Cutting off the gravy train of party spending in local elections, hoarding all the funds for himself and doing absolutely nothing for the down ticket except coronating candidates with an endorsement and a rally. You'd think there has to be some type of blowback for screwing over the entire pol ecosystem, amiright? But this guy defies gravity at every turn and the cult self immolates for him every chance they get (see: truth social windfall).

March 27, 20241 yr I'm old enough to remember when Democrats used to be the party of bricking layups. This IVF thing has to go down as one of the single dumbest political mistakes the GOP has ever made, and it's entirely self-inflicted.

The guy the special election was replacing was a Republican who plead guilty to voter fraud. Totally weird how the majority of persons convicted of voter fraud are Republican. Every accusation is a confession.

The text of the petition claims that "Hilton is attempting to normalize the LGBTQ lifestyle with its liberal advertising choices.” "The hotel chain is obviously pushing the LGBTQ agenda with this commercial, which depicts individuals, couples, and families, all in obviously gender-confused roles,” the petition reads, adding that "the ad features actors portraying multiple homosexual and transgender characters.”
March 28, 20241 yr Trump and the TNC are in real trouble come November. Democrat wins Alabama special election in early test for IVF as a campaign issue https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/democrat-marilyn-lands-wins-alabama-special-election-ivf-abortion-righ-rcna145210 Marilyn Lands, who defeated Republican Teddy Powell, highlighted IVF and abortion rights in her campaign for a state House seat that had been held by the GOP. Democratic candidate Marilyn Lands on Tuesday won a special election for a state House seat in Alabama after she made in vitro fertilization and abortion rights central to her campaign. Lands, a licensed professional counselor, defeated Madison City Council member Teddy Powell, a Republican who once worked as a Defense Department budget analyst. A Republican had held the Huntsville-area seat in the state's 10th District. "Today, Alabama women and families sent a clear message that will be heard in Montgomery and across the nation. Our legislature must repeal Alabama’s no-exceptions abortion ban, fully restore access to IVF, and protect the right to contraception," Lands said in a statement shared by the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, which supported her candidacy. Lands had 63% of the vote to Powell's 37% with all precincts reporting. "The voters have spoken and I’m honored to have been considered for this office," Powell said in a statement to Alabama Daily News. "I wish Mrs. Lands the absolute best as she goes on to serve the people of District 10 in the House of Representatives.” Powell's campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment. While campaigning, Lands focused on IVF and access to abortions, telling voters that she supports repealing the state’s near-total ban on abortions, which went into effect after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade in 2022.

So this guy was convicted of a felony, failed to pay restitution, appeared in court as his probation was extended.... But he just assumed his sentence expired and went to vote anyway. What a dummy. No wonder he's a Republican. I was arguing with my MAGA relatives in 2020, after they shared a similar plot to cast multiple votes in jurisdictions where they were legally unable to. I kept arguing how illegal it is and they'd get caught... But they were adamant they could and get away with it if they wanted to do it. I told them it is the dumbest way to commit fraud. Of course they believe the 2020 election was stolen.
