Marjorie Taylor Greene demands Guam National Guard be sent home after ‘ambushing’ her office with cookies

‘American servicemen are being forced to defend Fort Pelosi’

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/marjorie-taylor-greene-guam-national-guard-cookies-b1818201.html

Quote

"Guam's congressional delegate, Michael San Nicholas, leading more than two dozen National Guard troops to ambush my office unannounced and subsequently video record my staff without solicitation or consent," Ms Greene said.

The new face of the GOP is very upset with US military delivering cookies and calls it an ambush.

Perhaps they were just meandering, like on the 6th, which did not seem to upset her so much.

Is there anything newly disgusting about her or is this just a response to her past behavior?

Unlikely 2/3 of the House will vote to expel her but...

Dude, they already have Downs, leave them alone!

Its not their fault. I mean its the natural result of all the inbreeding in her district. I'm just saying she needs to be nicer to the people she represents.

I'm not usually one of those "ignore it and it'll go away" people, but seeing how we amplified Trump tweets - and Tucker - and how nobodies like Ron Johnson and Marjorie Taylor Greene become household names off of being crap stains - I've reached a point where I mostly ignore them.

Tucker, Ron Johnson and MTG know what they're doing. They say dumb crap,  spark outrage, then the Trump base responds with counter-outrage and circles the wagons around them. We call them dumb, but everything they say into a microphone is planned and intended to serve a purpose. And not to "both sides" this, but their behavior creates an ecosystem that benefits both sides. Left-leaning news makes it a headline. Right-leaning news defends it or swings to what-about-ism. Both sides get clicks and "likes" and "shares".  Same with the political parties. And then the politicians themselves get name recognition, as we're all forced to take a position on someone we didn't even know existed.

After all that ranting, I still don't know the solution. You certainly can't have Ron Johnsons of the world populating our major political parties. So, we can't shrug off his racist nonsense. But do the Tuckers, Johnsons, and MTGs  even spew the nonsense if it's not gonna attract widespread condemnation? I don't know.

I think you're right. Probably best to ignore them.

Reminds me of an old quote. 150+ years old...

Facts can't match feelings. You try and refute the falsehoods but it only feeds them more.

Has Trumpism collectively lowered their IQ or are they just trying to appeal to their base?

A little from column A, a little from column B.

Caps lock won't pick up those misspellings. Ya hate to see it.

This will get interesting.

Dem Congressmen already planning to violate the new law.

I could be wrong but I think they're going with the bribery angle.

ahh...so folks giving voters free food & drank.

I don't think the bribery angle works. There are various charities one can donate to that bring pizza and drinks to those waiting in line to vote. The pizza isn't contingent on people voting a particular way, so it's not bribery.

If Georgia created enough polling stations, people wouldn't have to stand in line for hours to vote. But they can't, so I feel like they're punishing voters for their own incompetence. It's wrong.

Fairly certain I heard it justified that way a few weeks ago.

Plus, I doubt some food/drank is gonna sway someone’s vote.  I’d take the free sheet, and then go vote for whoever I was gonna vote for.

Remember when I said that the republican party stood for getting rid of elections all together and they were taking incremental steps in that direction and the both siders called me crazy? Good times.

I'm still waiting for my free Trump steaks for voting for Trump in 2016!
