Sure, so if someone says nothing that means they're guilty? The prosecutors had how much time to come up with evidence? Couldn't provide anything.

If a person did nothing wrong then why enter a plea that prevent him self incrimination? Also assault is difficult to prove. How long did it take for Weinstein to go to jail? Heck Cosby went to jail and they basically disregarded his conviction. Just like Denzel said in Training Day "it’s not what you know, it’s what you can prove.” Just because they had a hard time proving this guy assaulted these women doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. If there were one or two maybe, but over 20! You can’t be that naive.

Lol again if you trade for Watson you are making him your franchise QB. He will need to have a say in potential WRs he may want or like. Again, the straw that broke the camels back was D Hop getting traded with Watson knowing or his blessing. Any franchise that operates like this is not a good franchise.

obvious howie will not go to Watson on everything but when it comes to skill position players they will would want his opinion if they traded for him. Why is this a foreign concept to grasp? Howie was speaking with Wentz on decisions for offense…

Yeah that ain’t happening. No chance this guy comes in and starts running things. This dude is a bad seed all around from forcing himself onto these women to trying to force himself out of Texas. People will try and compare this dude to Vick. At least Vick paid for his crimes and even showed remorse. What has Watson learned? How has he changed? I wouldn’t give up 3-5 picks for a guy who could be charged next time.

Vick was a completely different situation. We had a starter and a backup and didn't really need or expect Vick to come in and make the team better. He had a short leash and wasn't allowed one slip up. It cost us nothing to sign him.  As you said, he paid for his crimes and his time in prison actually changed him as a person. It showed on and off the field to this day.

Now I'm always slightly hesitant to just pretend every accusation is true --- especially when they are made toward a wealthy individual and settlements are realistic. So I really don't know how to feel about Watson as a player. At the very least, he seems dumb to me, that he allowed himself to be in a position where accusations of this type are believable and that alone is a red flag. But if he does indeed have character issues and he doesn't feel pressured to change, investing a lot in a trade to acquire such a player would prevent you from walking away immediately if something new developed later. It's just not a safe bet. He is a very good player, but does he make the players around him better?

Big cost to acquire him + big hit on the cap. We can afford one or the other, but really not both.

Watson was upset that he didn't have say in the GM they hired. We're not even talking exclusively about offensive players. The dude literally wanted to be above the GM.

He wanted a say because the fact they allowed Bill O’Brien to do whatever he wanted I understand that. Is it reasonable? No but I can understand him questioning ownership with horrible decisions.

but my main point is the franchise QB should have say with Gm and HC in skill position players on offensive. Anything more than that is questionable so I agree there.

I disagree. That is not the QBs job nor should it be his focus. A truly great player will make the players around him better. A great leader will work with those players to help them improve. You have to trust people all over the team to do their jobs and focus on your own.

Demanding a trade (In Watson's case) because you weren't included in the GM hiring process is not a good sign from a player. The idea that a "star player" can undermine the GM by having the owner's ear makes for a toxic front office.

I think we land Watson in the next week through an even keel deal. Remember when we moved up to the 2 spot for a Wentz giving up bare min?

check out my mock.

Tom Brady wanted Randy Moss and Antonio Brown at certain points. He wanted Gronk in Tamba Bay. Is that "not a good sign?” No, that is just what he wants. QBs should have a say. Again, any franchise that completely ignores the QBs feedback is a bad organization. They don’t have to do everything he says but he should be involved in those conversations.

Also there was not one thing that happened that caused him to ask for a trade. There were several yet you still keep pointing back to one thing. So either you do not like him or you just don’t want to look at the other facts of the situation.

Image a company that does not want feedback from their employees or clients and just makes decisions from the top because they want to. That company goes bankrupt in a short amount of time.

Lol this article backs my point but ok. Agree to disagree.

trade for Watson!

LFG! Why would Watson only lift his no trade clause for Carolina and New Orleans only? That report made zero sense from the jump.

thank god traded to the browns!!!
