And?

You aren't paying attention are you?

SCOTUS has given Trump a specific ruling to bring one of the deported people back. Trump said he would do that if SCOTUS ruled as such. Now Trump is being obtuse and refusing to do anything.

Oh, you mean all the "Trump has been ordered to bring him back" BS spin headlines? Yeah, no. That's not what they said.

Supreme court said trump must return him to the US...

Nope they did not. They said "facilitate" his release from custody in El Salvador.

What exactly are you arguing? They said to return him

Quote the passage, Mike

Technically he is correct. SCOTUS said they had to try and get him back, but really left it open for them to say "We tried are hardest but being the complete failures we are, we failed.”

Yep. Facilitate his release form custody meaning out of the prison there. They didn't say return him to the US. The headlines were BS spin and this will be debated and argued in court.

You want the exact wording and I never said it was there. You want to argue semantics and I don't care to 🤷‍♂️

Hey, I get it, but semantics matter when it doesn't say return him to the US and people are saying he's defying SCOTUS because he isn't.

Remember when several of the pro Trump crowd in here pointed at SCOTUS and said "f these district judges, now if he does not comply with SCOTUS that would be a different thing". Well, here we are...

Looking at you @The Norseman and @Diehardfan and others

Been travelling the last few weeks and haven't really been following. From what you posted though it appears that he is trying to interpret the SCOTUS language to fit his desired outcome. Not sure how that is supposed to work at this point. I think SCOTUS agreed that he could use the executive to deport via the AEA though, right? If true, then why would the judiciary be able to dictate the terms of those deportations?

Honestly, I don't want them getting due process. They skipped the due process to enter the US illegally and now want to hide behind due process to keep them here illegally. There are 20-30 million illegals here. If every single one of them got a court hearing before being deported it would take decades, which is what the Dems want. Nope, they need to be tossed out on their ass ASAP. No more games. Too bad. As for the ones Biden flew in if a president can order them flown in one can order them flown back out.

Oh well. Trump "tried" and they said no.

Uhh, that's exactly what they said and the vote was 9-0.

1+1=2 my friend. Find another argument. They exist.

Quote it, Doc. Go ahead....I'll help. Facilitate his release from custody. It does not say return to the US. It also gives Trump wiggle room.

Now, forget who George is, forget his caption, and forget what Miller says. This just came into my feed and I'm posting this so you can see the full exchange of how they asked Bukele and what his response was over if he'd be returned. You just saw the wiggle room being exercised.

They blatantly still lie lol

Skip to the end with Bukele. The point posed to me was how do I feel he is ignoring what SCOTUS said. You all can argue the rest. They aren't. They never said return to the US and they gave him wiggle room over matters of foreign policy. Lies are also the media spinning it to say they ordered his return to the US.

In the proceedings on remand, the District Court should continue to ensure that the Government lives up to its obligations to follow the law

I'll do it for him.

The Trump Adminstration has made no legal case for the removal of Abrego Garcia. Nor have they entered proof he belongs to MS-13 nor any other gang affiliation.

it has been the Government’s own well-established policy to "facilitate [an] alien’s return to the United States if . . . the alien’s presence is necessary for continued administrative removal proceedings” in cases where a noncitizen has been removed pending immigration proceedings. See U. S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Directive 11061.1, Facilitating the Return to the United States of Certain Lawfully Removed Aliens, §2 (Feb. 24, 2012).

They need to bring him back to the United States.

Cool, quote the rest. "facilitate his release from custody" and also quote the part about matters of foreign policy giving him wiggle room. They can't compel a foreign country to return one of their own citizens. That's BS media spin. This will be argued more in court, but in the meantime he isn't "defying an order". When asked what my opinion is I'm good with it.

I did. They gave that lengthy lie in front of Bukele and then asked if he'd bring him back to the US

Bukele calling him a terrorist is also another blatant lie

They're dancing around bringing the innocent man home while lying about his character

It's pretty messed up

Not going to argue that. But that's different from defying a SCOTUS ruling.
