And why do you think someone would sue? Maybe because the officer violated their rights? Laws are one of (not the only) reasons polices exist. It’s never the other way around.

The case I sighted is very similar, the main difference being the officer was conducting a lawful stop that went sideways but it wasn’t the intent of the driver to flee or run him down. The Minnesota incident even a lawful stop, she was not detained, not being given a citation, she was innocent and shot for no reason.
