Yep. It's all about his deductions and whether they are legitimate. He tried to deduct the Stormy Daniels payment and deduct losses at his golf course.

Trump says this is the amount I lost and that is all the evidence he has. He thinks it and then it must be true.

They will want to make it a full scale structural evasion.  They will dig deep. Company structures, movement of assets, valuations, depreciation schedules, etc.

Trump invited the press to a 'media availability' slot at Mar-a-Lago. Not a single cable news network covered it.

Notably, the media outlet said that even Fox News and Newsmax, which have historically offered sympathetic coverage of the former president, skipped on covering his remarks.

He flat out broke the law. I’m tired of hearing that the law doesn’t apply to him because he’s Trump and his cult members will get all emo if he’s arrested. Being a former president and having a cult following shouldn’t absolve anyone from having to obey the law. Garland needs to sack up and do his job. Enough is enough

I am on the side of @DrPhilly here. The J6 stuff is going to prove difficult to pin to Trump. Currently there is enough plausible deniability since all of the Proud Boy a-holes have taken the fall for the plot, as I am sure Trump and his team expected them all to do. They are protecting him, unless some "deep throat" squeals on him and can prove Trump was instrumental in the plans. All they have is all the "stolen election" bluster...  Which are proven lies, yes, and it riled up a bunch of bootlickers to act out. But it doesn't prove Trump plotted a violent riot at the Capitol. The tax evasion stuff is easier to pin directly to Trump. But it's going to take a monumental effort to untie all of legal/financial wrangling he's set up.

Just indict him for all potential crimes and let a jury decide which ones they prove beyond a reasonable doubt or not. A strong case can be made for multiple charges and multiple crimes.

I wish. Prosecutors can’t get to a grand jury without probable cause. And they want an airtight case, going against a former President with lots of power and resources to defend and deflect. It won’t be easy.

Unbelievable.

It's good it has a neat cover because those who buy it are very unlikely to ever open it.

Trump doesn't have the money to hold a rally outside of Mar a Lago. Some Candidate. :towel:

If you are defending something only because you are convinced it is under attack, ask yourself what are you really defending? Why does it need defending? How is buying a token from a figurehead going to resolve it?

WASHINGTON — Behind closed doors in 2017, President Donald Trump discussed the idea of using a nuclear weapon against North Korea and suggested he could blame a U.S. strike against the communist regime on another country, according to a new section of a book that details key events of his administration.

cheeto seems to be handling jack smith's special counsel work pretty well....

"The Special 'Prosecutor' assigned to the 'get Trump case,' Jack Smith(?), is a Trump Hating THUG whose wife is a serial and open Trump Hater, whose friends & other family members are even worse, and as a prosecutor in Europe, according to Ric Grenell, put a high government official in prison because he was a Trump positive person," Trump posted. "Smith is known as 'an unfair Savage,' & is best friends with the craziest Trump haters, including Lisa Monaco who runs 'Injustice.' The Boxes Scam is a HOAX."

House Republicans are launching their own investigations into Trump-era probes, including the Jan. 6 insurrection, but the former president called for all ongoing cases against him to be ended and Smith fired.

"Fire a man who may very well turn out to be a criminal, Jack Smith," Trump said. "His conflicts, unfairness, and mental state of derangement make him totally unfit for the job of 'getting Trump.' Go after Biden and the Biden Crime Family instead. Like Bill Barr, the U.S. Attorneys in Delaware and Illinois are weak, ineffective, and afraid to do what must be done. The Election was RIGGED, and we are now losing our Country. We can’t let that happen. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Dear Donald, just STFU, go away, and leave us in peace.  That would be sooo beautiful.
