July 29, 20206 yr Quote Asked about U.S. intelligence that Russia had been supplying weapons to the Taliban, Trump justified the alleged Kremlin arms program by pointing to U.S. support for Afghan fighters during the Soviet Union's war there in the 1980s. "Well, we supplied weapons when they were fighting Russia, too. You know, when they were fighting with the Taliban in Afghanistan,” Trump said. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/07/29/trump-russian-bounties-putin-call-385925 How can anyone support this traitor?

But how on Earth did Trump get through the debates without sounding incoherent? I've never heard anyone so ill prepared for a basic interview. It's like he won't take 5 seconds to think first. The guy threw in Global Warming...what???

Trump's go to when Russia is accused of nefarious activities is to reflexively blame the United States of doing worse. It's almost as consistent as @Kz! blaming black people.

The guy threw in Global Warming...what??? He didn't. He sounded like what he is -- a complete imbecile. A couple highlights: Rand Paul points out he knows nothing about TPP, despite being against it being a core part of his platform Here he is having no clue what the nuclear triad is: https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2015/12/17/what-is-nuclear-triad-debate-sot.cnn It was obvious to anyone that he is clueless, yet morons kept supporting him.
July 29, 20206 yr By definition half the people are below average intelligence, and he is their king. It's not like any of the Trumpbots here can pass as even remotely intelligent.
July 29, 20206 yr Scanning the last couple pages of most CVON threads, is it just me or is the Trump crowd getting smaller.

The guy threw in Global Warming...what??? He was as stupid then as he is now. Some were in denial, claiming it was part of his schtick and he'd be very different as president. The rest are either.. .. as stupid as he is and thinks his simple stupid approach works in a very complex world. .. understand he is stupid, but see him as someone who will still get them what they want (e.g. judges and unnecessary tax cuts during a time of economic expansion because ef the government deficits don't matter) .. understand he is stupid but saw Hillary and thought "nah." If you're in the first camp you're probably one of the 35% or so reliable idiots. The second camp is probably mixed in terms of voting for him again in 2020. They got what they wanted, and probably don't see Biden as a terrible alternative, so I expect a decent chunk of those voters to peel off. Probably not a majority but more than enough by itself to change the outcome in Biden's favor all other things being equal. The 3rd camp is probably the group that will make it impossible for Trump to be re-elected. Biden does not have the issues Hillary had. Trump NEEDED the Dems to screw it up and nominate Bernie. They didn't, and he lost when Pete and Amy dropped out and the left rallied around Biden. 2016 was less about voting for Trump than voting against Hillary. To be fair, the same was true on the other side - many, maybe most votes cast for Hillary were really against Trump.
