Setting an example is still important as a leader.

Yes it is. I have seen little leadership of late - our elected officials suck and should all resign in shame for turning this great nation into a mockery.

Protests, weather getting warm and people wanting to be out, businesses opening up again, it's all going to contribute. Some more than others sure but people are still going to point to whatever factor fits their narrative best if we get another big wave.

Worried about schools in the fall

I hope they remember these local, state, and federal politicians choices come election and not just focus on the federal. They all Fed up

yeah, that's how the news work.

did you not watch fox news during the Obama administration? every day was another "scandal".

you mock the scandal claims on Obama, but that tan suit was treason on the eyes.

Guy I work with told me on a conference call today that his 14 year old daughter got invited to a sleepover this weekend. He has to be the heavy and say "Sorry, no."

He asked the mother hosting and she said "Oh I need the girls to have a normal summer."

They won't.

It is weird but people in the US will say, "Politicians are dishonest" and then they keep voting the same dishonest dirt bag year after year. Mostly I think people want to vote for the winner more than they care about what will happen.

I am old and jaded, but it doesn't make my statement wrong.

Local school board is deciding whether or not to make kids wear masks at school.  Here's how I think requiring masks might work in elementary.

Please don’t snap Billy's mask in his face.

Your mask is not a necklace, bracelet, or any other form of jewelry.

You should not be using your mask as a slingshot. Please put it back on your face.

Please do not chew on your mask.

Your mask should be on your face, not on the back of your head

I’m sorry your mask is wet, but that's what happens when you lick the inside of it.

I’m sorry you sneezed. Here's a tissue. Wipe out the snot as well as you can.

No, you may not blow your nose in your mask.

Why is your mask soaking wet? You just came back from the bathroom?

And you put it back on your face after you dropped it?

I’m sorry you broke the elastic on your mask by seeing how far the band would stretch. Now you'll have to hold the mask on your face ... or use this duct tape.

Please take the mask off your eyes and watch where you're walking. I don’t care if you have X-ray vision.

Please take the mask off of your pencil and stop twirling it.

I know the mask fits over your pants like a knee pad, but please take it off of your leg and put it on your face.

What do you mean you tried to eat your lunch through your mask?

Please don't share your mask or trade masks. I don’t care if you like Ingrid's mask better than yours.

I’m sorry, but your mask is not school appropriate.

We're not comparing our masks to other kids' masks… everyone’s mask is unique and special.

No, you may not decorate your mask instead of doing your work. I don’t care if you have a Sharpie.

You're not a pirate, please take your mask off your eye.

Try to get the gum off as much as you can.

Please don't use your mask to pick your nose.

I’m sorry you tripped, but that’s what happens when you put your feet inside the elastic of your mask.

No, your mask doesn't make it hard to get your work done.

Your Mom will need to get you a new mask since you chewed a hole in that one.

Why is there a shoe print on your mask?

No, you cannot eat the snow through your mask.

I don’t care if you were in art class and being creative; we do not decorate our masks.

We do not bean other kids in the face with balls. No, their masks don’t make it not hurt.

Please don't plug your nose holes with your mask.

Who's making that noise?

I’m sorry your ponytail is stuck, that’s what happens when you see how many times you can wrap it around your mask.

I’m sorry to tell you, but your child thought her mask made her a superhero. She tried to fly off the jungle gym at recess …

I’m sorry your breath stinks in your mask, maybe we should all try to brush better.

Please take those cookies out of your mask. No, you are not a chipmunk.

This one doesn't just apply to kids.

Seems like some of the early reports of the areas that opened up early are not good. These will be an extremely interesting few weeks.

the governors can't win...wolf is getting buried for keeping things closed. other governors are getting killed for opening things up. nothing they do will satisfy people

Here in Bucks County, our Commissioners want Adolph Wolf to open up.  That is a board of commissioners which is predominantly Democrat.  2 D’s (nuts) and 1 repug.

My guess is when this happened in these areas, social distancing and masks when to hell.

I hope other states take warning on not loosen restrictions on masks and social distancing.

How about if we open back up, and every person you infect gets to kick you in the balls until you die?

If you have any balls. If not, kick in your ovaries or face.

Even if everything is done with the best intentions and available data there is plenty of margin of error as far as seeing an uptick in cases.  Where many officials absolutely need to be held accountable is if they reopened without establishing an adequate testing/tracking protocol to identify and react to trends before they snowball.  A second full shut-down would be devastating for most places.

I am still firmly of the opinion that your options with finding ways to make money are WAY better than your odds of doing ANYTHING after you die of COVID.

did everyone complain when he shut it down in the first place?  would they have rather stayed open & had people get covid-19?   i'm telling you, half of my fb feed is people ripping wolf.

Sure, and some places absolutely opened up too early.  But as a country we simply can't stay completely closed for the time it will take to get a vaccine.  Economic feasibility and medical necessity aside people just won't comply with that.  So where is the line?

Personally I think everyone should have followed the individualized step-wise reopening guidelines as outlined by the CDC, followed by aggressive testing/tracing protocols and continued social distancing/masks until a vaccine arises.  Reevaluate on a state/national/international level every month through the CDC and tweak as necessary. The lack of tracing going forward worries the hell out of me.

No, not at first.  But enough is enough and people are tired of it.  This County is now more Democrat, and they’re pissed off too.  Every elected seat in this county is democrat except for the DA and one of the commissioners, and that’s only because there has to be at least one of the opposing party on the board.

Can't/won't happen. Trump will fight it to hold on to his dimming re-election chances. More importantly, no chance the US population will comply again. Will be utter chaos if they try to lock it down again.

I think the biggest issue is that businesses have been closed for 3 months now.  That's where the most pressure is coming from.  I mean even with PPP loans and such, it's absolutely devastating to small businesses and their employees who are laid off and unable to get UC because it's a total clusterF right now.  They've lost basically a quarter of revenue.

For me, death. We could have fought this and won. Other countries did it.

Testing, quarantine and contact tracing. But it would infringe on dirtflakes' rights. The White House is doing it just the way smart countries have, they just don't think it matters doing it for the likes of you and me. If a quarter of a million of us die, who cares?

same story is beautiful nepa. some are bored...some are really f'n angry.

the purpose of the shutdown was so everyone didn't get the rona at once & overwhelm hospitals...that seems to have mostly worked.  but now folks don't want to following the re-opening protocols because masks take away their freedom or make them look like a ****....idk.  i have a feeling most of us will get it eventually...especially if a vaccine is still months (years?) away.  but i'm still washing my hands like a mofo...and wearing a mask to protect the idiots who don't wear them.

Anywhere with a beach would not be able to survive a full summer shutdown.  Might as well kiss all those businesses goodbye.

Yup. To clarify I didn't just mean devastating from a "consequences of lockdown" POV.  It would be a massively polarizing event that pours gasoline on the fire already raging across the country right now. That nightmare scenario needs to be avoided at all costs, for everyone's sake.
