January 6, 20223 yr Just found out about "flurona" first hand. Wife's PCR test came back positive for both flu and covid. Symptoms are pretty awful and if things get worse we're probably going to the hospital. Make sure to get your flu shots, too. Been reading about co-infenctions and they aren't pleasant.

That sounds sucktastic.

Yeah this years flu is bad news. Triple whammy of widespread outbreak, serious symptoms, and less effective vaccine than normal. Best of luck. Hope she gets better quickly.

Ugh, the flu sucks. Hope she gets better quick, man.
January 6, 20223 yr The ishlib pretend you're actually concerned about coronavirus challenge: Impossible.

Is your wife’s name John by chance 🤣? A guy at work just got same diagnosis yesterday. His started with what he though was a stomach bug, was all but set to come back to work Tuesday morning but stayed home to play it safe, developed fever and congestion Tuesday afternoon, and tested positive for flu & Covid Wednesday morning. He said the nurse told him it was the first she’d seen with both positive tests, so he is that going for him which is not nice… Hope your wife’s symptoms lessen and she recovers fully and quickly.

Sending well wishes to your wife. Hope things don't get any worse for her. I did get a flu shot. I had to cancel my booster last month due to having bronchitis. Re-scheduled for tomorrow and hoping the couple inches of snow doesn't lead to yet another cancelation.
January 6, 20223 yr Back to having a whole floor of the hospital I work at being covid. Less in ICU still so far so that may be a good sign. Came on quick though. Prior to Christmas we had 3 patients in the entire hospital with covid. I’m in a low vaxxed area of the state and basically no one wears masks in stores here anymore.

That's what we see over here in Sweden. Lots of patients admitted and many with COVID but very few in ICU units.

IDK, I doubt I'll get it. Just no way I'm going to take the time to get a shot every flu season. I'll just stay on my vitamin regimen, eat healthy, and continue to exercise. 3 minutes ago, mayanh8 said: Get it, dipsh**. No.
January 6, 20223 yr Seems like a lot of people in here, and their friends and families, need a proper reminder on good hygiene. Lots of outbreaks of both flu and covid. Maybe try hanging these around your homes? Oh and don't forget to eat your vegetables and spend some time in the sun for your vitamin D!
January 6, 20223 yr It won't be long until insurance companies refuse to pay out to those policyholders who've been genetically modified. Actuaries are freaking out about the spike in deaths of those who took the secret serum.

I'm sure your doctor and the OB will be all over that anyway and you'll get it.
January 6, 20223 yr Just heard one of my high school friend's younger sister just passed couple days back after a multi week COVID battle. Think she was anti vax. 57 years old but a real athlete. Played both field hockey and lacrosse on top 15 teams in college and stayed in great shape as she got older.
