Grow up and get a real job if you want more money. 😂 people don’t go into teaching for the money. But you did call them overpaid, and now saying they cry because they don’t make enough. That’s a fast 180 Just now, toolg said: I feel bad for them too.... Private school teachers tend to make even less, as they aren't required to be certified. And zero job security. No tenure. No benefits in a lot of cases.

Districts typically pay you as a 12 month employee though some have the option of 10 months as that’s the length of the contract. There’s no ability to make more money if they were to hypothetically work year round. It’s a 10 month contract at $X paid out in 12 months so really they make less each paycheck that they should because it’s being stretched over 12 months. Alot of teachers work second jobs at night and over summer. At least the newer teachers. Once you’re tenured and have a bunch of years and bump up on the pay scale then maybe you don’t have to do that. So do film loggers at NFL films since they have, get this, jobs that don't go year round. Thank you for bolstering my point.

That's one. Or if you want a religious education. I find the teachers aren't any better... Unless you can afford some ultra-wealthy prep school or something like that.

A lot of nfl films guys are freelance and only contracted for particular jobs aich as hard knocks then they take a contract for another project. They aren’t technically employed by the nfl. I have friends that do this so I know how it works.

I haven’t tested yet but I’m not sick at all. Granted, I have the blood and BMI of a Greek God so no surprise there. Hoping they all recover quickly. Tell the kids take it easy with sports / physical activity for a few days.

I was specifically talking about film loggers since I actually know how they operate that section of NFL films. My roommate was a film logger for them from 2001-2004. In the offseason he worked at Red Lobster. The happy ending to that story is this: Unlike teachers, he was a motivated person. Packed up and moved to Cali. Had some lean times (had to sell his camera to make rent) but he's doing well and is now a producer. (But he won't float my Weekend At Bernies reboot pitch to anyone )

I'd rather not waste my child's time with more fantasies when they should be educated.

But I know people that spend 30k a year on it and their kids can’t pass a basic math test. It’s scary. That being said if I was living in Florida I would certainly go public or charter because the school systems there are trash. Any kid can go to any school they want even if they don’t live in the district. So the "good” schools are over crowded and that leads to a lot of issues. I don’t necessarily have an issue with private or charter schools but it really depends on the particular school and what the public system is like.

Sanford/Tatnall/Tower Hill -- all overpriced and bunch of spoiled rich kids.

At the HS level, it was actually interesting to read the Bible more as a piece of literature. Classes on things like morality and social justice were the "religion" classed. I actually liked them. Plus - it was fun when the teachers mocked the Catholic kids for getting lower grades than me.

He started as a freelance type and was working on sets parking cars and worked his way up. He’s done some really cool stuff that I’m sure everyone here has seen.
