Sixth (seventh?) wave appears to have hit PA. Past two days have had cases of 1100+ and it figures to keep trending up for the foreseeable future.

Brother in law lives in PA. He has the Rona so they had to cancel their kids 1st birthday party today.

A bit concerned because my wife's parents stayed the night and were there before he knew he had it. Her stepfather has a laundry list of health issues and is in absolute terrible physical condition.

The state's dashboard sucks, I can barely figure out how to use it, so I've been looking at this: https://covidactnow.org/us/pennsylvania-pa/?s=31902014

I think it's 3.1% but I'm not sure if that includes this past week's data. Only 28% boosted. That's pathetic.

Seems like everything's going around. My gf just got over a pretty nasty sinus infection that became pneumonia, and at her job, a bunch of people have been out sick but negative for COVID.

I caught something from my youngest, sore throat and probably some congestion on the way. Didn't sleep that great. Tested negative this morning.

Check the thread title.

Vaccine injuries? Just a myth.

This is insanity. They need to let it expire already.

People are over the mask thing. When the doctors I work with stopped wearing them, so did I. The government isn't getting that horse back in the barn.

Places that practice medicine are the only place they makes sense anymore.

Plus, cloth masks do very little against Omicron and the newest variants.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again now:  I am absolutely amazed by the number of people I continue to see wearing masks pulled below their nose. I just figure out what is going through their head at this point.

Oh FFS

This falls in line with the messaging shift at the end of the last wave of using masks as temporary measures when there are periodic spikes. It makes complete sense. As I said months ago, we're going to have to keep stricter mitigation measures on the table for when the pandemic starts to get out of hand again. People should just be happy we're at the point where we can basically manage and live with it. Masks are but a minor inconvenience to help keep things under control. As I've been saying, we're not out of the woods yet.

be ready for the wave freedom fighters, putting their lives on the line to save us from, masks.

patriots, all of them.

Make sure you wear your KN95s while going to get your 6th booster to combat the 7th wave from the 5th variant!

What A joke of a city, glad I moved out years ago, I guess they no longer follow the science because if they did they could see by the CDC guidance Philadelphia is in the green zone. The Mandate doesn't start until a week from now that is how important it is
