April 22, 20223 yr Funny how the biggest drama queens in here are the ones losing their minds over some of us simply posting information.
April 22, 20223 yr Funny how getting a kick out of immature hypocrisy is ‘’losing your mind‘’. Kids and their temper tantrums.
April 22, 20223 yr If you want to find me being a hypocrite, this ain't the thread, chief. I'm basically batting 1.000 on COVID. But, yeah, you're right, foretelling this latest wave and then posting updated case levels confirming it is totally hypocritical

Quote Surprisingly, ethnicity, older age, and socioeconomic status, all linked with severe illness, were not associated with the long COVID syndrome. The concerning part here is severe illness is not linked to long Covid. So the risk factors are different. Long Covid can develop in folks who had mild illness; some who don't even know they were infected with coronavirus. How long are these patients going to suffer long Covid? Some of the effects, like heart irregularities and arrhythmia, must be taken seriously and can be life-long.

I haven't seen that number anywhere. Maybe that's a weekend total? I'm not the one reporting the numbers, but I've been interpreting this situation very accurately the whole time, at least back to January 2021 when I predicted COVID will become endemic.

Numbers are not reliable this week because of the holiday and now some states just dump numbers on one random day

You should only get your numbers from the official state dept of health sites, sites like WASH post and NY Times although they have nice graphics are not reporting accurate numbers, for instance they have NJ hospitalizations numbers wrong, they have 541 and NJ DEPT of health has 444, that is huge difference, a few off would be fine but it makes you wonder, how many people will actually look into this and not just see their graphic of increased hospitalizations and that is it
April 24, 20223 yr I flew out of Wash National yesterday. About 20% of people had masks on in the terminal. Maybe only a couple people in the plane itself.
April 24, 20223 yr positivity rate in Puerto Rico hit almost 25%, starting to dip slightly. Deaths are pretty miniscule, vaccination rate here is very high. But we're back to at least wearing masks in elevators and a couple extracurricular school functions canceled.
