Sounds about right from what I'm hearing. Alert made it sound like it's inevitable in the next month or so and to start planning on how to get it out to patients.

Is it going to affect your plans? We've been snake bit with getting sick before vacations as of late, but thankfully not covid (yet). Can't tell you how pissed I was that my youngest missed almost 2 days of our Disney trip because some shithead parent thought it was appropriate to send their kid to school with a fever that wiped out half the class. She caught it the day before our trip and it took her 3 days to get back to normal.
June 3, 20223 yr Thanks all. Only my wife is really sick so far. Baby and I are fine. 17 minutes ago, we_gotta_believe said: That sucks man. Hope you guys skate through it. But at least we're not working.

She had a pulmonary embolism post delivery. Not sure that really qualifies her as "high risk" but I think we can use it anyhow.

June 3, 20223 yr I'm the last person in my family who hasn't had it. My wife got it (there was a memorial service for a friend, it was a small place, too many people, only three of us in masks. I left after an hour, but she stayed for the whole thing, was sick by Tuesday. No idea how I managed to avoid it while living in the same house. I slept in the guest room until she stopped testing positive.

My symptoms are pretty minimal right now. A little tired and with a scratchy throat which is pretty much my baseline since having a kid anyway so probably not necessary for me.

My doctor didn't think I needed it -- told him this is what I pay him for and to get me the drugs.

Well my wife can get it through her OB-med doc so that'll be covered. I have zero risk factors and went on a run yesterday so I'm not gonna push my GP.
