There have been studies that have shown reduced incidents of Covid among vaccinated in similar situations (there was a study from a wedding in which many contracted Covid, and among vaccinated rates of infection were lower). But virtually every study shows reduced severity and hospitalizations among vaccinated populations.
January 4, 20232 yr The vaccine was effective against earlier strains. Covid mutated and continues mutating faster than vaccines can keep up with. Do vaccines make the symptoms of covid less severe? It's possible, but its also possible Covid is mutating into less severe strains with every mutation. Either way, for now I'm not really seeing the point of getting boosted, and for people that never got vaccinated, there probably isn't much point now.
