July 22, 20232 yr ...and now from the same video, some more info about "excess deaths" that we all agreed would be a gold standard metric over the course of the pandemic the x-axis is excess deaths by % and the y-axis is rate of vaccination
July 25, 20232 yr Ya'll wanted to force these chumps to take vaccine, I said let evolution take care of itself.
July 25, 20232 yr Elite high school athletes have always suffered cardiac arrest during routine workouts. Same with 30 year old seemingly healthy singers nearly dying from blood clots. Same with soccer announcers collapsing on live TV. This has always happened don't know why it's so weird to people that these stories pop up multiple times a month.

His parents, Hector and Rhina Paredes, established EP Save A Life Foundation to honor him through their commitment to prevent this tragedy from happening to other families.
July 25, 20232 yr Surely, it can't be due to the virus that causes the exact same symptoms at much higher rates.

Yep, all the random cardiac events that are increasingly happening in young people are definitely exclusively from Covid and any suggestion they might be linked to the vaccine should be dismissed immediately because that's science!

No you're right, I'm sure all these athletes are still getting vaccinated in 2023. https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/daily-covid-vaccination-doses-per-capita?country=~USA
July 25, 20232 yr I wonder if the brand of vaccine could have anything to do with it, besides just the vaccinated-or-unvaccinated argument. I got Pfizer, who recommended that over the others because it was a lower dosage: 30 micrograms, if I remember correctly. Preliminary evidence in 2021 suggested that the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines were not quite as safe, because of higher dosages: 100 micrograms, if I remember that correctly. It was recommended that people less at risk of death from Covid take the Pfizer shot to lesson adverse reaction.

It was recommended that people less at risk of death from Covid take the Pfizer shot to lesson adverse reaction. J&J didn't use mRNA, it was an adenovirus viral vector and initially feared to be more prone to clotting which is why it was temporarily paused by the FDA to investigate. You're right that Pfizer was a 30ug dose vs a 100ug dose from Moderna, and for the boosters, Moderna dropped it to 50ug presumably based on further trial data that showed some diminishing returns. That said, the risk of adverse events from any of the 3 candidates paled in comparison to the risk of those who contracted covid. And these aren't unrelated adverse events, but quite literally the very same ones: like myocarditis and pericarditis, and also blood clots like DVT. In fact, one of the methods that are now being used to detect "long covid" is a d-dimer test to check recent clotting activity in the blood. The only adverse event not seen with covid itself was GBS which was seen only above background rates with J&Js candidate.

I know, right? If only there was a way to discern the cohort of cardiac event patients who were vaccinated from those who were infected, like for example with a nucleocapsid antibody test vs a spike antibody test. Oh well, guess we'll just have to watch another Joe Rogan podcast with RFK Jr to get to the bottom of all this.

While Bronny experiencing a cardiac arrest was an unfortunate event, young athletes experiencing sudden cardiac arrest is not a new phenomenon that just started occurring more frequently after the COVID-19 pandemic. The most common cause of sudden cardiac arrest in a young athlete is hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, in which the left ventricle wall is abnormally thick, followed by coronary artery anomaly, both of which are usually inherited disorders. HOCM is still the most common cause of sudden cardiac death and can easily be determined on an EKG and echo. Myocarditis secondary to COVID-19 vaccination should be much lower on the differential here.

July 28, 20232 yr I guess it’s surging again? I hadn’t heard of anyone getting it since the fall, now a lot of people I know have it. Cases appear to be up 10% according to CDC
