When my oldest got it, she was largely asymptomatic but I wasn't as fortunate, it wiped me out for a couple days. Hopefully your son is over it fairly quick.

People who have had Covid and/or the vaccines are still less likely to contract it compared to those who are unvaccinated and have never been exposed. But the gap isn't as great. Breakthrough infections are more common that previous. Each successive mutation renders the immunity from earlier strains less potent, whether that immunity is "natural" or from a vaccine.
