The wife is on paxlovid, and seems to be a bit better already. I took another test this morning and it's still negative. I didn't sleep well though, and I have some slight throat discomfort. Probably seasonal allergies or even psychosomatic, but hopefully not an early sign. She's supposed to be flying to the west coast Sunday for work. She needs to recover quickly for that to happen.

If nobody got vaxxed, some would die. The difference is that among the vaxxed population, which includes by far the most high risk individuals mind you, your chances of dying from Covid are reduced. Life is about risk management. Defying the odds doesn't make you smarter, just a bit luckier. If I make the right choices and still lose, thems the breaks. But I gave myself a better chance, and therein is often the difference between winning and losing. If you could tilt the odds against the house at blackjack 2% in your favor, you win. Covid vaccines are far better bets than that.
