What's the likelihood of having had direct exposure and testing negative on an antigen test but still being infected enough to infect others?

Super small. If you're asymptomatic and negative on consecutive rapid tests, you're not gonna infect anyone.

How far apart should the two tests be?

A day or two depending on what youre aiming to do / go see.

Better get a booster, just in case.

It seems like I just don't get COVID at this point. The first time I was exposed was when my girlfriend had it and we were living together. I tested negative on rapids but did test positive on PCRs. The second time, both my parents got it pretty bad back in June, while I was staying at their house. Again, I had direct, prolonged exposure and tested negative on rapids, and never developed symptoms (couldn't find a PCR). Now I just heard that a friend I was hanging out with on Sunday came down with symptoms today and tested positive. We were hanging out, drinking and smoking together. I have no symptoms and will test on Friday, and I'm pretty much certain I won't test positive or develop symptoms anyway. I've never had COVID, even though I've been around it plenty at home and work. I can't even remember the last time I had a bout of the flu or any nasty kind of viral illness. Maybe like 17 years ago in college? I don't seem to ever get anything other than a light cold once in awhile. I just don't seem to get sick. I'll still get the booster, though.

My wife is like that. Rarely gets colds but when she does, she's over it in like a day whereas it takes me a couple before all the lingering symptoms clear up. As for your next test, I would wait until the 5th day after exposure and that's only if you're symptomatic or worried about exposing someone else.

My wife has been exposed several times and has yet to get it. She is up to date on all her boosters.

I thought that too. Then the day after the emergency ended, I caught it.

Yeah, I'm not interested in taking my chances. I might evade the disease only until some variant comes along that can challenge even my impervious, oxlike constitution. Hence, I plan on getting boosted by the end of the month, which should be good timing to protect me through the worst of the sick season.

Unbreakable!  Stay away from the water.

I'm traveling in a couple weeks and hoping my last bout of covid has given me some immunity.  I don't want it again, especially not from being on an airplane.

Planes are surprisingly safe, and you seem to weather any storm that comes at you, Di. Enjoy the trip!

We did quit the pandemic, thanks to our lord and savior and supreme leader, Joey B. Some of us, however, still take an interest in things like basic science and epidemiology. Don't worry, though, no one would mistake someone with a Mark Sanchez avi or any others from the Clown Crew as learned, intellectually curious men.

I get the flu shot every year.  I haven’t grown a third nipple….yet

I don't do flu shots. The USAF required them every year, and every year they made me sick.

I like my odds better taking my chances. Maybe the USAF just had poor quality control, but I pass.

You have a testing and vax fetish, and it's hilarious.

Get a load of the anti-vaxxer here! bet he isn't even up to date on his Covid shot!

To each his own, but I’ve never gotten the flu since I’ve had the shots.  I’ll keep on doing what works since, you know, science.

Well, count that as the least weird fetish that I have then!

The doctors I work with say there is a huge risk of organ failure if you try to take it for covid. You can take you're chances with it, but I'll pass. I took the paxlovid and it worked just fine.

Double jabbed with flu and booster. I got 3 extra bars on my 5G and a strange craving for human brains whenever there's an alert on my phone. I'm otherwise fine!
