I went to work everyday when they shut the world down. Hiding indoors is not my forte.

You would definitely be the one to know that. Oh yeah and Toast, a professionals professional.

Oooooo hit em with the ol' "I know you are but what am I?" Absolutely devastating retort by baby hands.

🤣🤣🤣

Former President Bill Clinton said on Wednesday that President Biden "healed our sick" during the COVID-19 pandemic as he paid tribute to the outgoing president.

That's how I'm seeing it. I was never one to get sick much in general, but common colds have done much more to me than this virus.

Great you had a mild case. It wasn’t that way back in the day. I can assure you of that.

Read up on it regarding your next booster. Last I read the advice was not to get it for quite some time after testing positive.

is that your professional medical opinion?

anyway, my efforts to obtain another fauci booster failed. they're not coming out with the "new" booster until next month. :meh:

How many total shots have you had so far?

About 3 months is the CDC's guidance, so late November.

Think I read nine months but I see CDC says three as you say.

the original shots & i think 2 boosters. 1 was before we traveled to iceland last year. i figured it would be a good idea to get one before travelling internationally...big crowds & airplanes full of weirdos.

yeah basically that, would take a booster before travelling.  Last month I travelled abroad with no booster though, I'm done with them for now. I've never knowingly had COVID.

Same as me then.  3 total shots and 3x sick.  I'm not particularly concerned with getting another shot at this point.  I've had some trouble with the last two.  I'll monitor for now and then start with those and flu shots annually when I get a bit older.

Definitely a summer wave over here.  Probably die out before your trip but you should keep an eye on it (I know you will).

New vaccines approved to combat KP2 variant.

Free Covid tests mailed to your house are coming back this fall.

Good. We ran low when I got covid but our library gives out 4 tests for free to card holders each month. Much easier than buying them and then trying to file for reimbursement from our health insurance. Getting these in the mail is even better.

I took advantage of the mail-to-home kits last time. It was really easy and convenient. My local library gives them all out as soon as they can get them. They've been out for months now.

Everyone remember to get your MPox vaccines.  You need two shots.  For now.
