Yeaaaaa the multitude of randomized blind clinical trials (you know, the ones that are actually credible) unfortunately say otherwise.

This is why people shouldn’t get their medical news from CNN (or fox or msnbc etc...)

Oh wow, so CNN actually lied about a study to make Trump look good? Wow, they're so deep into misinformation that they can't even keep their biases straight.

The initial study that showed it wasn't effective was a complete joke, too. They basically gave it to like 200 critically ill patients and it didn't miraculously stave off death (and I think the death % rose in those that did receive it), but the media and libs instantly celebrated the failure because they thought it made Trump look bad.

Edit: Perhaps calling the study a "complete joke" was a poor choice of words. The study was fine, even useful, but the reaction to the study was the joke.

"The” initial study?  There were over 100 clinical trials testing the efficacy of Hydroxychloroquine.

Yes, the trial that most media ran with to dunk on Trump was a singular trial that came out shortly after he hyped the drug.

No, they didn’t "lie” about a study.  The study happened.  But it wasn’t a randomized blind study.   They explain this in the body of the article, but the headline would make the average reader think this was the same high level clinical trial as other studies.  In other words, it’s clickbait.

Question:  If somebody goes in my pool (40k gallons, inground liner) and I'm not sure if they are infected with covid or not, can I just shock the hell out of it and wait a few days before using it?  Or do I need to do more (aside from not letting my idiot brother invite his idiot extended family into my pool again)?

Pour gasoline in it and set it on fire - that should kill it

I'm a swim coach.  Here in Delaware, the state considers competitive swimming to be the safest sport for youth athletes to participate in right now.  USA Swimming recommends that chlorine levels be at a minimum of 2.0.  With a chlorine level of at least 2.0, chlorinated water is 2.8-3.5x more effective in killing viruses than hand sanitizer.  Hand sanitizer is better for sanitizing your hands, instead of using chlorinated water, because hand sanitizer has better lasting power as you go around touching things.

My swim team has been running practices for the last month.   We are allowed to have 4 swimmers per lane, per state law.  At some point, the governor may allow 6 swimmers per lane.

If you are worried about someone being infected, you may want to force them to jump in your pool.  You should be safe getting in immediately after.

Currently, there is no evidence that COVID-19 can spread to people through recreational water. However, it is important to limit close contact with people outside of your home when visiting public pools, hot tubs, and water playgrounds, as well as natural bodies of water—like beaches and lakes—to slow the spread of COVID-19.

No agenda??  He's basically explaining how the states that are about to explode could all have avoided it had it been made a law to wear freakin masks from the beginning.

Like every other country on the planet....
