Occasionally I'll pull up a seat and have a drink if I'm waiting for a table on a date night but that's about it. Getting old with kids, saving me from the Rona. I admit, I miss it. I had no shame about heading to the bar after a crap morning at work and ordering some bar food and a beer or two. Helped me mentally reset for the afternoon most of the time. Was my "adult timeout". Never went out at night anymore though. Definitely too old for that. But sitting at a bar and shooting the ish with strangers to step outside of your life for an hour was something I found cathartic on stressful days.

We were originally leaving boxed mail on the porch for 24 hours, but then we stopped doing that. (We live in a pretty rural area. No one would even see our porch to steal something).

We had a bar right near where we used to work. That first cold one in an iced mug was heaven.

You need to book roughly 3,200 rooms for 120+ days, that puts you at close to $100M added cost alone when they are already taking significant losses with potentially no fans. There would also be other things like food they would have to have available to all those guys. Then there is hoping everyone actually stays in the bubble. NBA seems to be having trouble with that and they are a fraction of the amount of people living in a bubble.

If they talked about it, I have not heard anything. It might be a good contingency plan. If the NFL would do it, I think they'd have to find 3 or 4 different places to make it work.

July 16, 20205 yr I quit Here's the video. She even cites where there are good examples in the private sector, front-line workers, and elsewhere, who have guidance on what to do if there's an outbreak. Great! So as Secretary of Education, it is her responsibility is to collect the data and pass it along to schools, so they may understand what to do, so that they may come up with a plan to reopen. DeVos is saying schools must reopen, but she's unwilling to give any guidance to do so. She can't have it both ways. She's not doing her job.
