Not at all.  Just finding humor in trying to tell us the answer to a completely new virus may be in the vaccines most of us previously had so instead of creating a new vaccine for it (which I believe is next to impossible given that it’s the same virus that creates the common cold which has yet to be eradicated) they tell you to pump yourself full of all those old vaccines again.

Ah ok. I kind of agree with you on that then. Thought you just didn't believe in vaccines

Is that what the article said?

Ah, I see it talked about a booster shot. Well, hey, I'm no doctor so what do I know.

That's why for the longest time I never got the shot.  I rarely got the flu and when I did get it, ok, I feel like crap for 3 days.  NBD.

Schmoopie started working for a school and since there are a hundred of those little petri dishes running around, she started getting it and taking me with her.  Her in a school and me in airports every week was a bit much in terms of exposure.

I work in a grocery store and we have constant call offs from the workers that have children. I always tell them to stay the hell at home when someone trust to tough it out.

I'm pretty sure I had the rona last Feb

I had something around that time as well but, at that time the symptoms I had were not the symptoms they were looking for. Such as red eyes, headaches, lost of taste and smell and a heavy chest. They told me they would only see me basically if I was coughing and couldn't breath ( at times I couldn't). Now all those symptoms are being checked jerks!

Yeah, that's not at all what the article was suggesting.  Outside of the mention that a booster shot was once considered months ago, it was about how previous immunizations may lessen the symptoms of COVID.

He's probably referring to this:

In June, a team of researchers in the US proposed giving a booster dose of the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine to people to see if it helps prevent the most severe effects of coronavirus infections.

Yeah, I saw your post and amended mine.

The point of the article had nothing to do with recommending people getting bosters.

Yeah, I know. I read the article and I was initially like "That's what it said?". Then I went back and read it and saw that little blurb. I guess people take away what they want to take away because my first read of that article was "cool, the vaccines made my immune system better" not "well, they are going to make me get the same vaccines again"

I went to church that Sunday morning and felt fine.  I had a volunteer meeting and sat at a table with a handful of other people.  I went home after and had lunch and then about an hour later it hit me really fast, all of a sudden I got a fever and body aches and started coughing.  By evening the cough became severe and my head and ribs were hurting from coughing so bad.  I was going to go to the doctor the next morning but sent my wife to Walgreens for an inhaler to get me through.  It didn't really help.  Worst cough I ever had.  Next morning the doctor tested me positive for Flu A.  Gave me Tamiflu, a steroid shot and steroid pills.  I was fine within a couple hours and no symptoms the rest of the week.  I actually never had Tamiflu before it worked great.  They weren't testing for COVID, that was back when it was just in China and people were making Corona beer jokes.  My wife and son had those symptoms but not as bad.  A couple nurse friends have guessed that we probably had it as many people may have had it before they knew it was COVID.

If you want to know for sure, go donate blood.

Same.  When I was younger, I used to think I had an awesome immune system.  I never got sick. Never had the flu or got a flu shot.  Then I married a teacher and had three kids.

This year is the first in many years I didn't get the flu...yet.

Getting tested for antibodies might give you the answer but only if you test positive. Tons of people who tested positive for the virus then test negative for the antibodies.

It literally suggested that booster shots of those older vaccines be given as a preventive measure.

Tons of people also test positive for the virus on Monday and negative in Tuesday.

Then they should get tested less!

yeah she's hot, but the bolt-ons weren't a good look. I dunno if she changed anything, haven't looked, but I feel like she could have gotten a better job done if she was gonna go that route

Yeah I’m talking about people who tested positive over time not the false positives.

Jessica Alba is a total hottie.

The scene where she opens the door in Idle Hands... Damn.
