Yeah my wife had to get tested for work and it took that long. In 14 days I would probably know for sure anyway right?

I got results at Urgent care in 3 days.

Do you have an Urgent Care in your area? I know they seem to be knocking them out (for a nice fee of course).

Thanks for this. Looks like there is one that has it about 25 mins away.

Was that recent? When I went...approx 2 weeks ago, apparently the national testing centers were way over capacity.

Anyway, good luck Gannan.

Yeah, a couple weeks ago. I heard about people going to CVS or the "county testing center" waiting 2 weeks so I'm not surprised with your experience.

Yea if it takes 14 days to get results back, it’s pointless.  By the time you get results back, you’re not infectious anymore anyway.   BUT, if someone thinks they have it to the point that they go to get tested then they should absolutely be quarantined until they get results back showing negative.

Wishing you a speedy recovery from your cough.

More than one in three Americans nationwide say they will not get a coronavirus vaccine once it is available, an NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll released Friday found.

Thirty-five percent of respondents said that they would not take the vaccine, 60 percent said they would and 5 percent said they were unsure.

Those with college degrees are 19 points more likely to take a vaccine than those without, 72 percent to 53 percent. Democrats were also more likely to be willing to take the vaccine than Republicans, 71 percent to 48 percent.

No. I wanted to get tested just in case, but no appointments available in my area. If symptoms persist or get worse I'll call my doctor which is basically what I'm being told to do.

And then they will tell you to call the covid hotline. That's what they have been doing around here anyway

It's taking 14 days for test results? WTF?

The wife and I had results in less than 48 hours when we were tested back at the end of April. 14 Days is insane and utterly pointless.

I don't think there's trackers in new vaccines but I'm weary of getting a brand new vaccine. I'd want it tested and out in population before I get it lol

I'll probably stay home and see what it does to everyone else. Once I see the population isn't dying from it then I'll get it lol

Well if we just stopped testing, not only would there be 0 cases but it would take 0 days for results.

That's fair. But if that was the reason many would opt not to get it right away you'd think the discrepancy between college educated and non-college educated would be pretty small.

I think the difference is likely explained by distrust of the scientific community and some believe that this virus is "overblown" or even a hoax.

Russia skipped phase 3 of their clinical trials, so I don't think too many people will be lining up to get injected with that one.

Think it may have been a joke, capt. lib.

I get the flu vaccine every year. For a short time they had the nasal one that I liked because I thought it tasted like sugar. Places stopped doing that one and only do the shot now

Wtf? Attacking a 17 year old because you can't sit together?

No kidding.
