How far apart are the tables though? When you’re inside it’s a bit of a different ball game as there isn’t the same type of circulation. Viral particles can stay suspended in the air longer. Everywhere I’ve seen around here, people wear their masks on the way to the table and then take them off once at the table, and the tables aren’t always greatly spaced out. Then not to mention the bar scene. And then the other thing, even if the tables are spaced out good so it’s just the people you’re sitting with: is it a group of people who’ve all been taking the proper precautions so it’s a very unlikely chance that no one has it? All it takes is one person in that group to be someone who isn’t taking the proper precautions to then spread it to the people in the dinner party since no one is wearing a mask and everyone is likely talking with one another.

They are not talking about it, or posting on forums. And when it comes to that voting booth, they are not going to feel the same loyalty to their Republican ties they did 4 years ago after everything that clown has down to embarrass them. The "Red Wave" on Nov 3rd isn't going to be as impressive as some here hope it will.

And they aren't Trumpers but they say there is more and more talk to their co-workers who are about what's going on and why things are the way they are, especially over the last few weeks.

More than half of people are wearing masks but a lot of them are otherwise behaving in reckless manners. I walked by a motel Satuday night in my town where the parking lot was literally full. Not a single empty space. Granted, I live in a tourist town, but it's not tourist season. Wearing a mask is only part of it. People need to stop crowding.

When we were in Colorado this summer, people were noticeably more mindful of the mask regulations. I'd say about 80-90% of people in public were wearing masks and only removed them for the right reasons. People are much more lackadaisical about it in PA. I haven't dined indoors myself, but it seems that people basically just wear the mask through the door as a formality and then hang out maskless inside as long as they want. To take it to the extreme, my brother was just in WV and said he saw several establishments with "Masks not allowed" signs Colorado opened up sooner than most of the East Coast. Things were relatively normal there when I was there in the summer as well. I think the trade-off that society in Colorado agreed to is that you wear the mask more, and that they would let thing be as they were more. That's what I got out of it when I was there.

It also helps that the people living in places like Colorado spent considerably more of their leisure time outdoors for their recreational activities. Exercise/outdoor physical activity is more ingrained into the regional culture.

Um, no. Regarding COVID-19, I am still teleworking at home. I wear my facemask everywhere else. I am avoiding crowds, I don't eat out in restaurants, I consolidated my shopping trips to several times per month from several times per week. COVID-19 represents a real danger to the community, so I want to do all I can to help slow the spread. Regarding the last 4 years of Trump's ridiculousness and the Republicans who followed along... All I can hope is if Biden wins, he can reset the country back to where Obama administration left it in 2016. That's going to take a lot of work.
October 19, 20205 yr I don't know about you guys, but I've definitely felt a lot of peer pressure to vote for Biden. it's like "all my friends are doing it.. so I guess I should" exactly like that.

Polls in states without early voting show strong intent by those who are voting Democrat. And nobody has used the phrase "Blue Wave" live to hundreds of people gathering without social distancing or masks like Trump has. I get what you were trying to do. You didn't think it all the way through.

I'm fairly sure MD 20/20 would have had a similar effect given their test parameters. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jmv.26514
