Yet they continue to just ignore it SMH. Even if there wasn't a virus my mom is very frail a cold would take her out right now. I know she was close to getting out, so I am glad to hear she is home!

I don't know whoever consulted him knew this, but he ended up quarantining with her in that house, so now his mom also has COVID. It's definitely frustrating and just ignorant.

They don't seem too concerned with the virus despite both my MIL and FIL being high risk. I'm selfish about Thanksgiving though. I love it. The food makes it my favorite holiday. Christmas I could do without. Our families are both big on Christmas and they'll both undoubtedly want us in their presence (hence the reason why there's been some subtle talk about it already), but we've decided to stand firm on our decision. Our parents and her parents are more than welcome to stop by throughout the day to see the kids, but we're content to do our own thing and not get pulled in 10 different directions in the middle of a pandemic. There will be plenty of Christmases for that.

Christmas day is dinner with the in-laws and we'll do something after Christmas with extended family. I would love to just park my ass on the couch christmas day, drink, eat some gummy bears and try to put together toys.

I had a few rough nights in the last few weeks so some of it was white claw induced rage lol

If your desire is to commit ritual suicide, maybe don't take two of your elderly relatives down with you. They may not be as willing to join your death cult, but will unfortunately have to deal with the consequences of your poor choices just the same.

That was an overrated night for 21 year old college kids anyways.

November 10, 20204 yr Well turns out my boss does have covid and didn't show up today which is good. My company has however , takes the stance of not telling anyone someone has it like we are stupid and won't notice someone missing for 10 days out of no where. People seem to keep forgetting that you can have the virus without symptoms for 14 days so we could of all been exposed to it.

The gals in the office were out to lunch last week (outside) and when one of them was telling us about her grand mother passing my other co worker let it slip (I think) that she also had it. She was out for 2 months. It was a big secret. I can't say I like that, at all. Pretty sure the powers to be here and this employee agreed to this so that our office would not shut down. Pretty dumb as most all of us are set up to work remotely. I'd rather know and decide for myself the exposure I may have had. While I understand privacy, it seems odd she wouldn't say what was wrong. Maybe she had an STD? When I leave my cube, mask is on.

I'm sure that's a lovely holiday present as we all start to consider if we can visit our parents and aunts and uncles for Thanksgiving.

People want to hide behind HIPAA but I think at some point there has to be some liability for knowingly putting people at risk. They can disclose there has been an exposure without naming names (even if it's obvious who it is) and should be taking the proper measures of contact tracing and having anyone who was directly put at risk to stay at home, get tested and quarantine until the results come back.
