November 12, 20205 yr Did Biden come out and condemn all the large gatherings celebrating his victory? Or is it Dems celebrating = good and Trump rallies = bad? Just wanna make sure I get all the double standards straight - there's a lot to keep up with.

Spoiler alert, he nails it yet again: What I support is the kindness of my family to think about each other’s health and well being and because the 3 other people I have in my house on thanksgiving work in fields that expose them potentially daily to high risk individuals, we will CHOOSE to put our safety and health of each other first. The government isn’t mandating crap in my house, it’s a personal CHOICE. Maybe if grump had made a similar choice he wouldn’t have spread the virus to 30+ people in the White House. Oh wait, he’s a selfish ****, he would never think about the health and safety of anyone.

No - they were just breaking the rules out of happiness. There's a difference. Also see: protests all summer long - merely breaking rules and not killing grandmas you ghoulish bastid!

No, you support stringent government lockdowns without caring about their effect on anyone, or at least I assume you do, since you celebrated the idea of a 4-6 week lockdown because of "science."
November 12, 20205 yr biden didn't organize the victory celebrations...and he's been encouraging mask wearing all along...even before the was elected.

November 12, 20205 yr Quote "It doesn't matter who you voted for, where you stood before Election Day. It doesn't matter your party, your point of view, we can save tens of thousands of lives if everyone would just wear a mask for the next few months. Not Democrat or Republican lives, American lives,” Biden said in Wilmington, Delaware. "Please, I implore you, wear a mask,” he added. "A mask is not a political statement, but it is a way to start pulling the country together.” "The goal of mask-wearing is not to make you less comfortable, or take something away from you. It's to give something back to all of us, a normal life,” Biden said. "The goal is to get back to normal as fast as possible. Masks are critical in doing that. It won't be forever, but that's how we'll get our nation back.”

You like to criticize the right for not supporting lockdowns, but you run off like a tiny baby when someone points out that the left doesn't give a crap about the pandemic either. Just now, mr_hunt said: spoiler alert, he never criticized the block parties, just as mike said. lmfao
November 12, 20205 yr 4 minutes ago, we_gotta_believe said: Honestly, one of the few things I disagreed with Fauci on was the concept of an immunity passport. It's a extremely dangerous concept that can backfire in the most obvious of ways. And to some degree, I'm not crazy about this credentialed version of a vaccination status either. That being said, if it's for a non-essential event or service that has alternatives, I'm not as opposed to it. People don't have to go to concerts, but if they choose to do so, a mask should still be required, regardless of their vaccination status. For schools, it's a trickier proposition at this stage of the game, but in 3 or 4 years? Yeah, I'd be onboard with it as a requirement. I'm not a fan of having to prove your vaccination status (which sorta ties into the whole ""forced vaccinations" topic). I think anti-vaxxers area bunch of irresponsible morons, but I'd never support a situation where you're forced to get a COVID-19 vaccine to participate in basic societal activities. I'll ridicule them for their ridiculous positions, but we can't force people to take it against their will. I also see a bit of a logistical nightmare going on with reporting errors and screw ups. Imagine paying $400 for a pair of concert tickets only to get turned away because the lab screwed up some paperwork? They might want to go back to the drawing board with this one. Concerts, sporting events, etc. likely won't be back to "normal" for several years and these industries need to adapt and change as well. Requiring a bunch of people to essentially have an "immunity passport" and then herd them all in like a bunch of cattle like we did before doesn't seem like a great solution.
November 12, 20205 yr Besides, the left prefers to make their victims children in the streets of urban areas and helpless unborn babies - save the grandmas, kill the babies!

Agreed, there are legit concerns there. Granted in this case, it was one of two options, with a negative test being the other, but again I'd say better to just mandate mask compliance under the threat of removal if you fail to comply once you're in the venue. Of course, the venue will still be bound by local gathering and capacity restrictions anyhow, so I'm not sure what ticketmaster thinks the end goal is here.
