Remember when we used to freak out about an airplane crash killing hundreds of people? That's happening 10x now every single day but suddenly it's not a big deal I guess because one time this overweight fella that a lot of people worship for bizarre reasons simply brushed it aside by saying, "they are dying and it is what it is."

Now I don't mean to direct this at you in particular, but anti-maskers use this tactic all the time and it's just dumb. Nobody is saying heart disease is awesome, but the main difference is, I can't catch heart disease from your fatass just by standing next to you while we're in line for space mountain. If you want to keep being not-slim by shoveling pizza after pizza into your face, that doesn't affect me one bit, and there's also not much I can do to help you avoid killing yourself and others. But if you can't be bothered to either wear a mask or get vaccinated to help stop yourself and others from dying because you're too tough to be "scared of this thing", then you're basically a miserable, inconsiderate piece of garbage.

Typically if someone has a heart problem and needs to go to the hospital, all the hospital's beds aren't filled with heart disease victims leaving said person to die at home.

Fever, chills. next day severe soar throat, then heavy coughing.  Kept things under control with OTC meds.  Thought about calling doc day before Thanksgiving, but throat cleared up and fever broke. Coughing continued thru weekend so had a videoconference with doc Monday.   Said it sounded like Covid but didn’t order test.  Put me on zpak and prednisone to help get rid of coughing.  Went thru Walgreens to get tested.  Just got result positive.   Brother is fine.  Not sure where I picked it up at.  Looks like wife now has it.  Her symptoms are much milder then mine, but asked doc if he’ll prescribe same for her.  Another videoconferencing today. Script really knocked out coughing for me.

It is a disingenuous headline. They cut the 2020 target in half - basically 2 weeks. Sticking with 1 billion in 2021.

Which looks like will carry over into early 21. Doesn't help much if they catch up to their target on the back half of 21, I want to get this needle asap.

It most likely provides sterilizing immunity which prevents an inoculated person from infecting anyone else but what Bourla is saying here is that he doesn't know that for sure because the trial wasn't designed to determine that. Specifically, their criteria for confirmed infections involved multiple positive PCR tests accompanied by at least one symptom. They had no way of determining whether any of those patients who were potentially infected but asymptomatic could still build up enough viral load, and then shed it to infect others. With efficacy as high as it was, and all incidents of severe disease being observed only in the placebo arm, I wouldn't worry too much about this for now.

Pfizer never took a dime from OWS, they partnered with BioNTech and risked their own capital to be first to the punch.

Oh I know that Pfizer didn’t take money.  But I thought they had all been working to make the vaccine in conjunction with the testing so that it was all ready when given the green light.  That was the process that trump supposedly pushed saying it’s never been done like that until he said to do it.  Which, if it didn’t happen, then it’s just another trump lie.  I’m not surprised
