Governors could have issued stay at home orders and other things long before the federal did anything. They should actually get more IMO because they shouldn't have waited for Trump I definitely feel like people will forget that their states didn't move quick enough and place all of the blame on Trump Comes with the gig, apparently.

May 11, 20205 yr https://www.wgal.com/article/pennsylvania-coronavirus-covid-19-updates-pa-daily-briefing/32433180 Quote Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf had harsh words and threats of enforcement for businesses and counties in the state that want to reopen ahead of his schedule. Starting Friday, several counties, including those in the Susquehanna Valley, said they planned to move to the yellow phase with or without the governor’s approval. In a Monday news conference, Wolf called those plans and actions cowardly. "We Pennsylvanians are in a fight for our lives. The enemy is a deadly virus set on destroying us,” Wolf said. "Over this past weekend, some have decided to surrender to this enemy … these folks are choosing to desert in the face of the enemy.” Wolf continued, "To those politicians who decide to cave in to this coronavirus, they need to understand the consequences of their cowardly act.”
May 11, 20205 yr On Wolf's presser.. he's not wrong. But I also think this may backfire, because it's just going to end up resulting in morons being like "YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO I DO WHAT I WANT!!" and opening more aggressively to spite him.

And now he’s treating to revoke business licenses and insurance for business in counties that open ahead of his schedule. That’s abuse of power and completely illegal. He’s an a**. Im not a trump guy or a rep, but it’s hard to argue against the fact that dems are delaying this as a political measure to use against trump in the election. We’re pawns in their Little game.
May 11, 20205 yr My gym is supposed to reopen May 24th. They didn’t bill us this month (but we paid for April when they were closed the whole month).

Mine gave us a choice but encouraged us to keep paying if we could so they could keep their staff and use them for outreach services (food delivery to elderly, virtual sessions in high communities like retirement homes, care packages for single parents with kids now stuck at home etc). Really smart idea
