No no no.  That's bunk.  Falling off the edge of the earth is clearly #3.  COVID is a distant #4.

This explains a lot about what’s happened since my second vaccine on Tuesday.

Mine wasn't too bad:

This dr brings up a good point and as I wait my turn to get the vaccine it does make me wonder....is it unnecessary?  It’s a year into this, I’ve managed to not get it (knock on wood) so do I have a natural immunity to it already? Maybe I’ve had it and never had symptoms.  I’m generally ever sick, don’t get the flu shot most of the time, hardly even get colds, so my immune system is generally pretty good, right?   I wish they developed a way to test whether you need it or not before you got it.  That’s asking for a medical breakthrough like we’ve never seen though.

Thank you!

Went and got my first shot yesterday.  One of the people who got their first shot a few people before me constantly was wearing their mask below their nose.  Her college aged son was wearing it the same way.  I heard her ask if she needs two shots or just one (Moderna) since she already had Covid.  I thought that I’m not surprised she had it, with the way she wears a mask.

Take that up with Stanford and UCLA.

Well post the article to where that is posted, not a YouTube video.

Developing a safe and effective vaccine in less than a year is Fing medical breakthrough we never seen.

Go read on how mRNA works and you just might be amazed.

It's really not worth the risk to try finding out. If it's any reassurance, my immune response seems similar to yours (I hardly ever get sick) and I did not have any side-effects. It's made me wonder if the people who get no side effects from the vaccine are also those likley to be asymptomatic carriers.

It's basically a headline grabber, like always.  This is the point he was trying to make.

"When folks in the public health arena, talk about the vaccine efficacy. I think it’s a good bet that our science, this is American science... says to us that neutralizing antibodies and prime T cells can clear this out of your body," he said.

"Now the question is, have we done enough to make sure it’s safe in everyone. Are there categories in subset of people in whom this vaccine may actually pose some sort of risk? -- I think the answer to that is yes."

"They delivered an effective vaccine. Now, the safety part of it is what they're making a mistake with: It's a mistake to be vaccinating people who have had recent or current infections."

But the immune response from a vaccine is more robust than from natural infection.

Oh no, the deep state got to Sarah Palin too...

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/sarah-palin-covid0-19-tests-positive-wear-masks/

Quote

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin says she tested positive for COVID-19 and is urging people to take steps to guard against the coronavirus, such as wearing masks in public.

"Through it all, I view wearing that cumbersome mask indoors in a crowd as not only allowing the newfound luxury of being incognito, but trust it's better than doing nothing to slow the spread," Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, told People magazine.

That last part is an interesting theory and could very well be true.

This YouTube conversation is soo ignorant, information is information, what difference does it make if it's conveyed via a written, audio, video, audio/video or smoke signal format?

But I guess one does expect ignorant conversation from ignorant people

Best wishes to your dad for a speedy recovery.

Welp, we're officially on fire here again. Cases are through the Fing roof, another round of restrictions went into place at midnight, and only 1.9% of the population has been fully vaccinated. The government has spaced out the Pfizer/Moderna shots by 4 months instead of weeks. Trying to stay optimistic but this is a total and utter sheet show. B117 is absolutely kicking our asses right now.
