I can't speak to the messaging there, and while I think there's room for improvement here as well, to be fair to them I know here it's particularly difficult because of how regional outbreaks can be. Michigan is on fire while California is already back to summer levels. Makes it tricky for pubic health officials to speak generally when such disparities can exist.

And that's fair enough but in the UK we are still talking in total rather than by area or region. Or should I say we are talking by country (England, Scotland, Wales) rather than region.

Except so far, it seems that being vaccinated gives you  a much better shot at your COVID being a manageable case.

PLEASE GET VACCINATED.

WE NO LONGER HAVE NATIVE CASES OF MEASELS AND POLIO THANKS TO VACCINES.

PLEASE GET VACCINATED.

Daughter got her 1st Pfizer yesterday.  She was hesitant last month as an educator taking the J&J and opted out.  She had to stay for 30 minutes after as she has some known allergies.  She was a little emotional.  She wasn't sure if it was her emotions getting the better of her (she hates taking anything!),  and that could have contributed to all her joints aching and she had fatigue more than her usual fatigue.  She is up and at work today.  I told her as always how proud I am that she did it!  She's now asking me, do I have to take the 2nd shot?  I told her since you had reacted to this one, the 2nd one should be easier.  If not, it's only a day or part of the day that you will feel it, but then you will feel better.  You can do it!

The real shame is that so many people spent the past year making people think

1. The virus is a hoax

2. The vaccine is a government scam of some sort

I absolutely hate taking medication too!  Aside from Advil or Tylenol, I generally don’t take anything. I typically do not get the flu shot as well. The last time I took any medication, was for a case of diverticulitis which I believe was misdiagnosed anyway, And the medication I had to take for that screwed up my entire body For about a year afterwards. So I’m hesitant when it comes to this stuff as well, but I opted to get the vaccine.  Not that I am afraid of Covid, both felt like I should be doing my part, and I’m not gonna allow anyone to take my fun away so it’s better to have it.

I still don’t think we will jump in line to get our kids vaccinated whenever that becomes available, but if the vaccine kills me at least I know I live a good life for 44 years 😂

I am done being negative. Some of you think everything is going to be fine even though that is not true. A year from now you will see i was right. Many actually think that you can convince everyone to get the vaccine. Not one anti vaxxer is going to change.

Everything is never going to be fine. Life is pain. However, you can still enjoy the majority of it, most likely.

The vaccine is head and shoulders better than the alternative. Hopefully, they will only improve.

Say what you like, there is a reason we don't have outbreaks of polio, measles, rubella, whooping cough, mumps, etc. Vaccines.

We would no longer see these diseases in the USA at all, were it not for anti-vaxxer nitwits catching it overseas, bringing it back home and spreading it to their unvaccinated friends.

You can hope all you want. More and more people getting vaccinated but numbers still going up. Yes it will most likely drop during the summer. Come the fall we will be seeing over 200,000 cases again.

Actually I can’t enjoy anything. I am unable to go anywhere because I do not feel safe plus all of the strict safety guidelines makes things no longer enjoyable

I know I bust your balls a lot but you genuinely seem like you have some level of anxiety man.  An SSRI/SNRI might do you some good.  No one should have to raw dog reality nowadays.

Things are changing.

After this Sunday, my family is all vaccinated (except the two grandkids) and we're going to have a barbecue at my house. Everybody will come, we will hug each, have drinks, eat food and get to go inside at sit around the kitchen table without masks.

My buddy and I are going out for a beer and a burger the day after my 2 weeks after the second shot is over. We can start hanging out again.

Yeah I have a lot of anxiety right now and with good reason. There is reason right now to be very concerned. Even if the vaccines are effective we are never going to get enough people vaccinated. Some of you live in this fantasy land where logic and reason can convince people like KZ

HI Joe. Come over my house for a playdate. I wear a clown mask that exceeds 3M 8210/n-95 standards.

We can play a game called coivd -38. Its twice the fun as covid 19. We put on chinese formal attire and eat a few bats and monkeys. First one to get sick loses

Where are things changing? Still high numbers and still many deaths.

KZ represents the mindset of most anti vaxxers. Maybe I do need something my stomach is hurting every day

Will it bother you if I hide in your hedges to watch over you and make sure you are ok?
