Two different points here.  Walmart and Target sell groceries.  So that's why they're essential and a clothing store isn't.  Is it fair?  Sort of.  Does it suck for the small clothing business?  Absolutely, but if they were a small grocery store, they'd be open.

I don't know anything about Wolf or whatever's going on in PA, but cronyism is unfortunately always a problem.  We still have to utilize a system with public health in mind when we choose which stores are opened and which remain closed.  Just because there's cronyism and corruption in the process doesn't mean we throw the doors wide open and invite the spread of the virus.

It's more that absurdity that gets me. We can freely walk into Target and shop for anything. Seems the same clothes shopping gets done either way but one business suffers because it doesn't sell milk.

I agree on not throwing the doors open. But offering other businesses the ability to generate income with similar social distancing should be up for discussion.

Yeah, I've been giving a lot of dirty looks out.   But I live in Texas.  Half the population is brainwashed into thinking Corona isn't real.

This is really Fed. I believe it's their first mission in the US.

Am I right to assume that Native Americans are still more susceptible to European/Asian/African diseases after more than 500 years since contact?  Crazy

That's sad.  We spent some time there about 10yrs ago in Monument Valley and of course went to 4 corners as well.

Re-open the schools!!!

I don't have any data on that off hand but since we've been in the same area for so long now I doubt it. Plus this is pretty novel to whitey too. I would guess any increased impact has much more to do with socioeconomic factors, health factors, healthcare access, or distrust of healthcare/federal government regulations.

Just a bustling hub of activity.

To be honest I haven't seen him post there recently, but I barely look at those forums as it is anyways. I just remember seeing him in a few of the football and baseball threads a couple of years back.

Those boards are fantastic for fantasy sports news and insufferable the rest of the time.  They asked me to be a mod last year.

He liked to bust people's balls and could be a real D about it.   I always got along with him though.  He just didn't know how to tone it down on here.  LOL

Of course, but Trump probably has no clue when schools get out.

But to be fair I keep asking my own kids when their last day (online) is

😄

I know in my area they are all done their school sheet. So I guess we will not be considered open till next school year lol

Trump can't be held accountable for what he says. He has no idea what comes out of his own mouth.

Not sure if it’s the same across the country, but my kids last day is this Friday. I assume everywhere else ends within the next few weeks too?

Pretty much yes. I know college is done after this week. I'm pretty sure highschool is all but done as well. Maybe a week or 2 yet

Pet peeve of mine.  If you consider certain construction workers and contractors essential (which in some cases they very much are) then it makes sense that places like Home Depot to stay open, BUT there is no real reason why the general population should be able to just cruise the store. Even if you want to make the argument that it encourages people to stay home, curbside pickup seems reasonable.

Some of the general population fixes their own homes though. Some parts can be old and they need upgrades for those things and you need to be able to see it in person to find the best fit
