Adrian Wojnarowski

The deal sends Chris Paul and Abdel Nader to the Suns for Kelly Oubre, Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and a 2022 first-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

Presti is on a mission to collect every first round draft pick for the foreseeable future.

I never said Rubio is more talented but he is a pass first G who knows how to run an offense.

Ben's idea of running an offense is drive into the paint, jump in the air, and hope he can find an open teammate. Sixers have watched the experiment of Ben as the primary ball handler fail for way too long.

that reads to me as HOU saying "Hey Daryl, send us Simmons or this dude is going to BKN"

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Horford for hield, Simmons for Harden.

Embiid, Harden, Tobias, Hield...

That's the kind of team to build around Embiid. Great shooting and an iso player when you need that in close games and playoffs.

Its perfect.

Lol. Yea Rubio is a general out there.

+ Thybulle in a fully realized /arrived 3 and D role. Hell yeah.

Embiid might actually see a post up without 3 defenders on him.

Imagine embiid/harden p&r combo.

Unstoppable. Then with some shooters on the perimeter... thered be no one in the same zip code for those guys.

Yo days is sayin no da streets. Dat days Culd get Hardens witout Simmon or Embiids. SMDH

I feel like the Nets beat any non-simmons offer.

LeVert, Dinwiddie, Jarrett Allen....

Seems better than Tobias, Richardson, and Thybulle imo.

Other people might feel differently, but I think theyd be over-valuing our own players.

Levert is the best play out of the 6 and Allen got crap on because DeAndre is buddies with Kyrie and Durant

I think Harris may be the best player, but LeVert may be as well. Even if we are kind to ourselves and call Tobias the best player in either package, Allen and Dinwiddie is way better than Richardson and Thybulle.

I think if we dont offer Ben, Nets have the better offer.

It should require Ben, and Im totally fine with that.

Someone on realgm dug this up from September

How is that even possible? Only way possible is because Kyrie has expressed refusal to play with him?

If the Nets bow out for Kyrie's wants, thats dumb. Cause Harden is far better than Kyrie, and Durant wants Harden.

But, I guess thats a more realistic possibility than guessing that Houston likes that Horford package better than a Nets package.

Could also figure Fertitta doing a solid and preferring to deal with his boy Morey. But thats also crazy to think hed take a lesser deal for his team due to his personal relationship.

So.... who knows? But Ill take it.

Durant is going to regret his decision to go to the nets to team up with kyrie.

If we made some moves, would Rondo want to come here to play back up point?

I'm pretty new to basketball. Started watching the Sixers from the 2018 playoffs I think. Been ups and downs but I've really enjoyed it.

I'm curious if you'd prefer...

A) Embiid, Harden, Tobias, Hield +1

or

B) Embiid, Harden, Simmons, Tobias +1 (and surely weaker bench and trading away the future?)

A) Above you described Embiid and Harden playing pick and roll with Hield shooting 3s. How does Tobias fit into this?

B) What role would Simmons play in this team? Is it a natural fit or would Simmons be forcing a square peg?

Id love to have Hield with Embiid, Harden, and Harris.

Harris fits in, in the corner where he shot like 50% from 3 with the clippers and then barely ever got the ball in a corner with the 6ers. He and Hield can bomb away uncontested looks while most of the defense focuses on trying to stop Joel and Harden.

I dont think Ben is needed with that 4some because Ben is completely useless in the half court. So when you have 2 great halfcourt scorers and you want the ball in Harden's hands Ben has little value just standing in a dunker spot.

If we are able to do a Harden deal without involving Ben, then we dont have Horford to trade for Hield. As good as it sounds to be able to get Harden while not having to give up Ben, Im not sure you end up with the best possible outcome for the team.

And for the sake of discussion, what if you have to give up Embiid to get Harden? Do you do it and how would your gameplan look now?

I dont think Im interested in that because Harden and Ben doesnt impress me. Other people might feel differently because for most of Ben's career Im lower on him than most people have been.

Id totally trade Embiid for the right deal. His health concerns me, short term (can be broken down by playoffs in any given year), and long term (can fall off a cliff at any point due to size and inury history).

But trading Embiid for Harden, you are left with really only 1 scorer.... thats not enough to win in the NBA.

Id do it if I knew there were other moves coming. But if thats it, not exciting to me.

I see. Thanks for your thoughts. Interesting days ahead for sure...

No. No,No,No. Just go get rubio and then draft really well. Help Lord help, the sabotage is real. Who hired kamala? This is one cheating your future move after another. Make it stop. Build through the draft.

If they believe they can win a title with Harden, Embiid, Hield, and Harris, then its worth it to trade picks to make it happen.
