I don't have a problem with letting Doc see if he can get more out of this squad than Brett.  Maybe Harris plays like he did for Doc in LAC and inflates his value.  Horford might play better with proper rotations and not being forced on the court with Joel.  Not to mention his contract will be more moveable since the last year in only partially guaranteed.  The more time that passes the less of a negative value it has.

The push to win now with the crappy decision makers and a inadequate coach got us where we are now.  It's just not fixable overnight without making a gigantic sacrifice to the future.

Anyone interested in Hayward for Horford. Then sign him to an extension

Another ball handler and guy that can create his own shot.

He looks shot to me.

agreed.  but the main issue with slow playing this is embiid, imo.  i just don't know how many good seasons he has left in that body & he might already be on a downward trend.

His numbers last year when he played were actually really good and almost on par with his Jazz years

17.5ppg, 6.7rebounds, 4 assists, 85FT%, 38% from 3 on 4 attempts

But let's be real he needs to play for the Pacers and get the trifecta of whitest cities to play for: Jazz, Celtics, Pacers

And I still don't know how you play him and Simmons together. It should be Joel in the post and throw him the ball 30+ times a game. Either dominate or kick out for open shooter

Has Ben developed a jumper yet? Bwahahaha

I’d do horford for Hayward in a second and not sign him to an extension.

They need a center.  Horford was great in their system.

ben will never develop a jumper.....and embiid would be winded after the 3rd or 4th time he gets the ball down low.

I feel like we're the beer guy at a baseball game:

"Horford...Horfords here...get your veteran Horfords here!"

Wasn’t he a bench player mostly?

No.  He was their starter for like 4 years.

Yea but I think they moved him to the bench his last year to save his legs.

And would be an upgrade over Theiss

I can't believe the draft is tomorrow, that crap came up fast!

Looks like he started all 3 years with Boston.

His minutes dropped by 3 minutes the last year off his career avg.

he started every game he played during his 3 seasons w/ boston.  since his rookie year, he's only come off the bench 6 times in his entire career and they were all this past season w/ the sixers.

Id love to have Hield with Embiid, Harden, and Harris.

Harris fits in, in the corner where he shot like 50% from 3 with the clippers and then barely ever got the ball in a corner with the 6ers. He and Hield can bomb away uncontested looks while most of the defense focuses on trying to stop Joel and Harden.

I dont think Ben is needed with that 4some because Ben is completely useless in the half court. So when you have 2 great halfcourt scorers and you want the ball in Harden's hands Ben has little value just standing in a dunker spot.

If we are able to do a Harden deal without involving Ben, then we dont have Horford to trade for Hield. As good as it sounds to be able to get Harden while not having to give up Ben, Im not sure you end up with the best possible outcome for the team.

You could try a Harden/Simmons P&R

All Simmons can do it roll though. He can't pop for a jumper

It is mind boggling how talented he is and just how much he doesn't give a F.

This. Celtics are not stupid . Especially not stupid enough to trade back for a center they let go who is now older and making even more.money.

Raptors want to offload Lowery if they are signing VanFleet to a massive deal?

Lowery has one year left on his deal.

They were going to pay him big too though.

I think they'd have interest but likely insist on a bunch of picks thrown in. So,  it won't happen.

I will say this condensed offseason schedule is much more excirting.

The Kings and Nuggets have had preliminary trade talks on a deal that would send sharpshooter Buddy Hield to Denver. pic.twitter.com/ctlZt3IDVz

put me down as hoping we get Cole at 21 or in a small move. i think he's my top choice but unsure he will last that long

I think he'll be in our ball park.  His inefficiency numbers are scaring a lot teams.  He seems to fall anywhere from 18-26 in most mocks.

Dumb ass Nuggets should have kept Malik Beasley who shot 42% from 3 on 8 attempts after going to the T Wolves.
