Saw a tweet from that Fosh guy who likes to throw everything including the kitchen sink at the wall to see what sticks, so you have to take this with a Mount Everest of salt, but it said the 6ers and Cavs were in talks for a Horford for Love swap.  Was wondering what anyone thought of that.  Also, I'll go on the record saying I don't want Harden.  I don't think he's a player who will ever win a championship.

Love still can play and a 37% 3p shooter. A better compliment to Joel than AL.

I think at that point the move is to flip Ben Simmons to get another couple pieces or star in there. To me I want to pay as least as possible to get harden so i can have a major asset like Simmons to acquire a piece or pieces that fit better.

From what I’ve very recently heard, there is no Nets deal. Rockets want Simmons and Morey knows this. Sixers aren’t willing to trade Ben at this time.

Nets dont have a young star. They wan Simmons and a boatload of picks. Which is honestly too much.  Theyre playing hardball trying to squeeze Morey for everything weve got. Morey isnt gonna let it happen.

This is my interpretation also.  If he knows Simmons is their prize, you don't agree to include him until they come done on the other asks.

If it were true, wonder what the picks would be. In today's market, thats likely a Jrue type package of picks. But it was too much for Jrue, and its too much for Lavine.

If its a first, and a nicely protected future first thats ok with me. Dont want to do more than that.

I don’t think it makes any sense for the nets to do it to begin with. Kyrie and James Harden do not fit well together. They are redundancy of each other except James Harden is just a better player than Kyrie and stays healthy whereas Kyrie doesn’t. Now if the nets were willing to trade for harden and then deal Kyrie Irving somewhere else that I could understand. However I don’t think the nets wanna have that many moving parts going on because I think it’s gonna be tougher to trade Kyrie Irving because he’s perpetually hurt and I don’t think teams necessarily think he’s a really good teammate. 

To me I think morey is trying to play this out to the point of where the Rockets are going to be up craps creek and have to take lesser prospects. I actually believe Morey wants to keep Ben Simmons not because he wants to keep Ben Simmons on this roster but if he somehow some way gets James Harden I think he wants to use Ben Simmons to bring in another star that fits with James Harden and Embiid or players around Joel Embiid and James Harden that fit.

That’s why I think it’s important for Daryl Morey not to trade Ben Simmons in that deal if he doesn’t have to. I ultimately think he’s going to have to do Ben Simmons in the deal to get James Harden because I don’t think the 76ers have enough good assets to make the Rockets trade with them even if they put three first round picks in it

Then you have LaVine and Harden in the back court, with Embiid.

hes a max balla. He can score. he can shoot. 3 level threat. Hes improved as a playmaker and ended up actually playing a lot of point minutes. Not a good defender. Improved there some too. Kinda thought to be a selfish player along the lines of a lesser Harden. But hes younger, and more athletic and solves a ton of our problems just the same.

Makes sense. I’d rather also have markkanen then carter too. But I can tell you from an Arizona coach he’s really not very thrilled about being with the bulls.
