Presti has acquired like 18 1st round picks over the last couple years.

This is fine.  Getting out from under that contract was always going to cost something.  Any deal with Horford was essentially going to stink.  At least it didn't cost us Thybulle or Shake. 

Green is on an expiring deal, so he could be used to match salary in another trade.

You just hope they are good enough in 2025 that that lightly protected pick doesn't hurt too much.

There was a reason I was attaching 1st round picks to any horford trade.  The whole league knew it was a negative contract and his fit with the Sixers multiplied that.  I'll take it.  Had to be done at some point.

And really Thunder is best place for him. He can get a ton of minutes, show his value, then Presti trades him for another pick. 

It worked wonders last year with Paul and Dennis

Yup it’s like going to doctor for a colonoscopy. Dont want to do it but it’s a necessary evil 

Now you can slot Tobi in at PF and get 2 other shooters on the floor and not carry a 30 million dollar backup center.

Could totally see the warriors dealing Wiggins and a future pick to get that done. They could use a center that doesn’t need a lot of shots and can do the dirty work 

What is OKC's first round pick total looking like at this point?  They have to be in the teens over the next 5 years.  It's insane.

If Ben stays, I can see him throwing some alley oops to Ferguson with his quickness and jumping ability.

Honestly i think it’s the only way they get a star to OKC is to trade a plethora of picks or have enough picks of lotto tickets to cash in. Makes a ton of sense for presti to do so. Their trade with the clippers might be an ultimate gem with what they got for Paul George.

Ok This is what I expected from Morey. Now aside from just finding solace in the fact that Horford is gone, I actually like this deal.

I was a big Ferguson fan in his draft. He hasnt panned out yet, but like the chance to develop him a bit more. And the pick is far in the future so its not stinging so much.
