I doubt that. I think you underestimate the fact the nets outside of KD and kyrie have a very good roster around those two. Better than the sixers would have around embiid and beal.

Morey is getting paid 10 million a year to fill in the roster around Harris, Beal, Embiid. It can be done and that could be a title contender team if Embiid becomes the monster he should be 

I don't  think Kyrie can work with another star. He just refused to call Nash his coach and he thinks it all one collaboration

People are mentioning the thought of using Simmons to trade for Steph Curry if the Thompson injury is serious.  This is a crazy time.

should but the sixers are restricted with the space they have and who they can add next year. I look at the quality of guys around KD. that’s a good roster. KD wasn’t stupid when he chose the nets even with kyrie.   

That might be true with kyrie. Not denying that.  Frankly i think kyrie is overrated. However I’m not sold he’s there with Durant the entire time and they don’t deal him with someone like levert/dinwiddie to get another star back. 

Even if you take the nets out you think beal and embiid beat Lebron and Ad and the roster theyll construct? I still don’t. Again having Ben, embiid and beal would put you over the top. I don’t think it would be close defensively or offensively

Best explanation i could find 

Over the cap teams have to match salaries when trading to a certain extent (they can take back no more than 125% of outgoing salary). When a team over the cap trades more salary to a team under the cap, they get a trade exception for the difference of the amount they would've been able to take back. They can use the exception to take on more salary in a later trade
