Do you like this approach? Both for Curry/Green in the starting lineup as well as what he wants from Harris?

Im excited to have the shooting of Curry, Harris, and Green in the starting lineup.

Im not thrilled about Green in the starting lineup. And would have preferred the shooting of Curry as a consistent bench scoring threat.

But, Im excited to see all that shooting out there around Embiid and Simmons.

Im skeptical of the bench.

Roster needs a lot work, but we are in the infancy of Morey's process. Ill be patient and just get hyped on the shooting potential of that starting lineup.

word. Either way I dont think a 1st needed to be involved. Houston got that for free imo. Good trade for them.

Major prospect with a major injury. Probably still wont be in our range come next draft time if this team is any good, but something to keep an eye on maybe.

Does it? Westbrook is a stat stuffing loser

The two of the most untradeable contracts in the NBA swapped for each other.  Virtually the same kinda of players (if Wall is healthy).  This seems to fit right in with 2020 where nothing makes sense.

2014 this is a blockbuster and now who cares. Both teams will barely make or Harden is traded first.

Houston and Washington GMs got bored and just said F it, let's make a trade.

Westbrook wanted out and got his wish.  He didn't report to training camp apparently.

Ty Lue was talking about how he was going to use Shamet during a Zoom presser not realizing that he was traded, too.  This season is gonna be a crap show.

tankathon's mock had him going #2. i was watching the game when it happened & the play itself didn't look bad...but he immediately grabbed his achilles & was in a lot of pain. sucks for the kid.

It kinda looks like he turns his ankle at the end.  I was thinking maybe a broken leg.

Any word on the injury yet?

i turned it off at halftime but he came back & played in the 2nd half and they said it was only a tweaked ankle. apparently he's a gigantic wuss because he reacted to a tweaked ankle as if he just tore his achilles. do not want.

Lol yeah that's kinda pathetic.

I saw the ankle and with his reaction I figured he snapped his fibula.

What a baby.

I wanted to show people that I’m a way better shooter than what my numbers said,” said Maxey. "What I’ve been doing is, I’ve been working out at 6:00 A.M., go lift at 8, I’m back in the gym at 10, and sometimes I go back later in the day. I want to be able to show everybody that I can knock down those threes and I feel like I’m a way better shooter than what my numbers show and that’s one thing I want to show at the next level.”

Maxey then went into full detail about what a regular workout day looks like for him in order to improve as a shooter.

"My goal at the 6:00 A.M. session to make 750-to-800 and then go lift, come back, and do it all over again,” he explained. "It’s been a great process, my thing is to set my own records. I’m trying to make consecutive shots in a row to see that consistency build up. So making 20 one day, making 25 the next day, and the highest I am right now is 36. So you keep building, keep building to where you have that confidence. I have it now to where if I’m open, I’m going to knock it down. I have no doubt in my mind it’s going to go in.”

On top of that, Maxey was wearing an interesting shirt with the phrase "fall in love with the process” on it. That resonates in Philadelphia for obvious reasons and he then explained why he wore that shirt.

I like the kid’s drive. Our "star” PG/PF/Whatever could take some notes.

That's awesome!

Ben's version:

3am - leave the club

4am - going to bed

10am - snooze the alarm clock

11am - wake up, check instagram

1pm - workout for 2 hours

4pm - practice dribbling up and down the court

5pm - check instagram

6pm to 1am - call of duty

Same old Ben. Morey just trade him for Harden already

Mixing speeds and learning how to succeed in an environment that isn't all pace, all of the time is critical for Simmons' development, and by extension the development of the team. So it was only a matter of time before the questions about his willingness to shoot came up, especially after Rivers suggested this week that Simmons and Embiid could be put in some pick-and-rolls together this year. The concern has long been that teams will just drop far under the screen and nullify the value of the action, and Simmons echoed the sentiment of his coach when the topic of his jumper came up on Friday.

"It’s important to make shots," Simmons said after a long pause, "but it’s more important to win. So however the winning happens, it happens. I know Doc and Sam are going to put me in the right positions to do that, and be dominant, so I’m just looking forward to being out there and seeing what they have to offer in terms of my situation on the floor and where I’m going to be."

It's a far more measured answer than he gave during training camp last year, when Simmons said simply, "If it's open, I'll take it." The odd three-pointer here and there aside, he did not live up to that maxim. Simmons took more of his attempts around the rim than he had in any other season previously, and in spite of that fact, his free-throw attempts dipped under the mark he set in 2018-19.

That's what I've been saying either you have the drive or you don't. No coach is going to get it out of you. If Ben doesn't have that mind set by now he never will. He is gonna be one of those guys where you think down the line how great they could of been if they actually worked on their game and didn't use their athleticism or size advantage their whole career.

We should already be thinking that. His stats and advanced stats show absolutely zero to minimal improvement.

Hell his defensive win share went from 5 his 1st year to 3.1 this past year. And overall win share from 9.2 to 6.9

Dude needs to be traded immediately especially after his press conference showing no confidence in his shot
