I dont see why we wouldnt offer Green and Ferguson's expiring salary to match, and a 1st to satisfy their draft compensation request. 

Currently Green is projected to start here. Hield would be a big upgrade there.

How would you start Curry and hield though? 2 undersized guards that play no defense and still no bench?

Green isnt going to play good defense for us either. Id be surprised. Hes beyond washed up based on his time in LA. 

Ferguson shouldnt really factor in.

It's definitely a lot of good shooting but, I feel that won't be sustainable in a playoff series. I think that lineup gets killed in the half court defensively. 

Curry would come off the bench in that situation. I think you probably have Ben/Harris/Embiid as the core three with Hield, Curry, Furkan, Maxey, Shake and Thybulle filling in the rest of the minutes.

Ultimately Id like to have Curry off the bench. But that seems to be waiting till we trade Ben for a real PG.

It would be one of Furk or Thybulle pending matchups with the idea of Maxey taking over if he can hit shots consistently

Rockets training camp has started and Harden is in Vegas partying.

Doc wants Ben and Joel 2 man game playining instinctively rather than calling plays. Who the hell wants to see these two basketball idiots playing "instinctively"? I guess he would like to lead the league in turnovers till he realizes thats a terrible idea.

 

Well, I do like hearing Sam Cassell working with Simmons. Nice to have some good coaches on the staff.

 

Read an article that Austin Rivers was high on our FO's list and Doc talked them out of signing him. 

I think it was the right PR move for the 6ers, and Doc, and Austin.

But, we still have no PG. I wish they had more than 1 option in mind cause when they didnt go for him they got no one.

James Harden indicated to the Houston Rockets before the beginning of training camp that he would be open to a trade to the Philadelphia 76ers or possibly other contenders, sources told ESPN.

Harden, the perennial MVP candidate who is holding out of training camp, previously requested to be traded to the Brooklyn Nets to form a super team with former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

After it was clear there was no traction in talks with the Nets, Harden expressed to the Rockets that he would be agreeable if a trade with the 76ers materialized, sources said. Harden also indicated that there could be other teams that fit his criteria for a preferred destination, a source said.

Morey said he has no intention of breaking up Simmons and Joel. Don’t see it happening this offseason. 

Would Harris, Maxey, Shake and some future unprotected firsts get it done? Probably not.

Offseason is already over, but Harden wants out of Houston 

Give up a guy who can play D, but won’t shoot, for a guy who can, and will, shoot the lights out, but won’t play D? I’ve never been a big fan of Harden’s style of play, but there’s no denying his ability to score.
