One guy scores 16 points a game, does not need to be guarded in the half court if he is more than 15 feet away from the basket and turns the ball over.  The second guy scores 34 points per game, must be guarded beyond the 3 point line and turns the ball over.  Quite different.

One guy also plays defense. The other not so much.

Yep.  And not picking up his dribble and turning his back to the basket constantly like junior high girls do when they play.

You don’t think that was coaching? I seen more than Ben doing that the past couple years.

No. That gets corrected in junior high.

Meh. That seemed more like a design by BB to me, unless we’re talking about two different things.

Harden plays defense you just choose to not believe it.

Why would you believe that is coaching? It's a lack of basketball IQ and not trusting the ability to shoot or pull up for a floater or want to finish a lay up thru contact.

Simmons is 6'10 230ish he should be getting to the line more than 5 times a game. Biggest waste of talent this generation

His best defensive rating was what +1.3?

we might be talking about different things because everyone on the team would do what I’m thinking of.

Get past his defender, jump while in the paint, turn his basket to the hoop, and throw it out of bounds. What Haz and I are talking about.

Even if Harden is a step below Ben defensively, he knows how to score a basketball extremely extremely well.

You let Thybulle handle the defensive work for the primary guard or lineup presents itself stretch 4s or 5s, Harden has slower lateral quickness but good lower body strength

probably.

Theres DHOs, and then theres Simmons not knowing how to keep his dribble and turning his back to the basket like a 7th grader does.

Hey Chick-fil-A gets the best of us OK. They act like they are Saints but really it’s the devil in disguise

Sadly.... yes it’s called the embiid challenge

Like McDonald's has the Travis Scott meal, chicken fil a should do the Embiid Meal. It could be like a family package meal deal.

Would be yuge!

His problem is not being in shape when the season starts.  Its keeping in shape the second half of the schedule, into the playoffs, that is the issue.

Embiid missing out on that peppermint bark milkshake tho

Will Morey ultimately pull the trigger? If I had to guess, I'd say yes. I think Morey, already a go-for-broke guy, has inherited the dwindling patience in Philadelphia, and I think Harden will end up on the Sixers sooner rather than later. Whether that's the right move, I honestly don't know. What I do know is this is a crossroads moment for the Sixers. When we look back on this decision years from now, however it works out, it will have forever changed the course of multiple franchises.

As long as it doesn’t involve Simmons or Joel, go for it.

Harris, Maxey, Shake and future firsts? I’m fine with it.

Where do you put Ben offensively with Harden and Joel?

It needs to be Ben and only Ben. The guys you mention especially Harris value increases with Harden on the Sixers. Ben pretty much becomes irrelevant on the offensive end

I'm excited for a lot more pick and roll for the team in general.  BB didn't seem to like using it.  Also hoping for more movement and cutting off ball on these actions.  Last year it was either a 2 man game or iso with everybody standing around watching especially with Embiid in the post.  Just need something fresh.  BB's offense was so boring by the end.
