Yeah... I think hes developing his shot though and will be a 3 level scorer eventually, fairly soon. 

Garland seems to be doing well in the early going this season too. His scoring underwhelmed me last year. Hes supposed to be a great shooter, but for a guy that played no college I guess he needed more time to adjust to the pro game. I feel like he will come on. 

Id take either of them.

They, and GSW were like bottom of my list of wanted trade partners, but Im there now. Im ready for just about anything.

sorry Mattise. We need Maxey. Offense is a little flat outside of Shake creating. 

Shake needs to work on that behind the back move, he stinks at it 

not playing maxey on that stretch feels like a missed opportunity. Only offense was Shake and he struggled with nothing but tough shots. 

Now Embiid is back in and 11 points is tighter than it needed to be. He may need to exert himself if NY makes 1 more run. This feels unnecessary.

I know you guys are bashing Ben Simmons but the fact that he’s aggressive enough to get an a line 8 times tonight is good for his development. How many times last year in the fourth quarter did he not take it to the hoop and get to the line or wasn’t aggressive? Obviously needs to shoot better from the line then he has but he’s attempted 6 and 8 FTs the first two games. Add on he had 7 points down the stretch and 3 of 4 from the line. If he goes 3 of 4 from the line down the stretches of games i imagine that has to help his confidence.

At least 2 of his drives and some of those FTs came when NY completely stopped playing D. He walked in uncontested to the rim on one of those late drives. 

His game was pathetic. Maybe ever single pass was a jump pass tonight. And just about every one of them was a bad pass that destroyed a shooter's rhythm. Or allowed defenders to collapse on the post player receiving the ball. He was about as bad as I can ever remember seeing him. 

He also played elite defense against RJ Barrett on the other end of the court. 

Fultz on hot start this year. Averaging 18 5 and 6 through 2 games.

I really dont care. The #1 overall pick needs to be more than a defensive specialist.

And if anyone really is able to accept that from him then you have to really accept it which also means getting him out of the way on offense. Thats take the ball out of his hands. Make him move without the ball rather than clogging the lane for everyone else. Or at least hide in a corner somewhere, not in the paint. 

The effect of the defense he provides is negated by him helping the opponent's defense. He single handedly bogs down our offense horribly. Hes a net 0.

Honestly i find it amusing on here the amount of hate Simmons gets even when he does positive stuff in games. And it’s rarely mentioned when he does those things. It is what it is.

you look at his defense, and then you notice how hes like a 6th defender for the other team when he is bogging down our own offense. His defensive contributions are negated by how badly he hurts the team on the other end. 

In that regard, he does nothing positive. Those plays are quickly wiped out. 

If he wasnt the #1 pick, hed be out of the rotation by year 2 like Thybulle is. Simmons is a taller thybulle. Love the flashy steals. He gives you nothing else. Except Simmons is actually worse on offense because at least Thybulle disappears on that end rather than actively stopping the flow of the offense like Ben does. 

Ben Fing sucks. And anyone that has any defense of him at all at this point in his career has all the laughable takes. Its long past time for excuses.
