Harden isn’t Kawhi or LeBron though.  Not even close.

LeBron is arguably the greatest player of all time, so that’s not a fair comparison for anyone playing today.

Kawhi? Yeah - Harden is in that conversation. He is the best scorer in the game and an MVP. He and Kawhi are on the same level.

He can score the rock which is nice for fantasy I guess...

Where is Beal on your list? A good fantasy player?

fultz vs simmons tonight :flex:

I’ll be disgusted if the Sixers give up Simmons plus more assets. The Rockets have no leverage.

i'll say this if embiid pulls a bynum and they dont make a trade for harden, we are back to square one before the tank happened because ben simmons is just going to be a good player like drew holiday without the jump shot.

You have to give up simmona plus more....I just don't want both maxey and shake going.

well, they do a little. Lots of teams could be wanting Harden. Lots of teams probably have nicer picks, or nicer young players than us. The only reason we have a leg up on just about anyone is because we have Simmons. So to get a deal done we will need to do that.

As the season continues and this team continues to struggle with all its same issues from previous years, WE begin to lose leverage and become more desperate.

No one is offering a better player than Ben

I never would have seen this coming from Dwight. What a transformation he has made

Right. Thats why we have leverage on other teams. But not really on the rockets. They just arent trading Harden till we up our offer because otherwise, other teams can beat ours.

So, if we trade Ben, Maxey and Thybulle (plus picks) for Harden and Tucker, I guess we look like this?

Starting 5 - Harden, Curry, Tucker, Harris and Embiid

2nd Unit -  Shake, Korkmaz, Green, Scott, Howard

Or would Green stay with the first unit? I think you take advantage of Harden's familiarity with Tucker. Doc seems to like having a full 2nd unit out there. Would love to assets in the buyout market to push Kork and/or Scott out of the rotation.

Seems about right I think.

Aside from the buyout market, its also possible to use our trade exception to make another trade. I posted an article listing a few options, a few days ago.

I think ideally we would be looking to upgrade Green on the bench, or Kork.

Greens 15M, and our 8M exception could bring in a nice player with a pretty large salary.

As bad at those teams were, they were still kind of exciting to watch.  Most guys played super hard and hustled all game.  The few times we won, I would get so pumped up.

in all seriousness, hollis thompson would be a bench stretch 4 upgrade over Scott.

And some guys got real playing time and parlayed it into careers. RoCo, TJ, Jerami Grant, etc. Who knows if they get playing time on other teams.

Hats off to Ben that was a smooth looking three
