So can we trade Simmons and picks for Beal?

Wizards would ask for like 10 1st round picks along with Ben

Read about Tobias doing this earlier to ensure they hit a mismatch to Embiid. This was a facebook post from tonights game now

Curry demanding the ball from Ben to run the offense at the end of the game and successfully.

Teammates continue to demand the ball from Ben in critical spots. And we somehow have coaches blind to the fact that hes not a PG.

Fultz tore his ACL tonight. Poor kid. At least he’s got $50m in the bank.

Survived a Beal unconscious night.  Dude out scored his team for almost 3 quarters.  Lost the lead but fought back in the end.  Glad to know a guy can drop 60 on us and still pull out a win.

They need to just let her do her thing.  They introduce some violin chick and a guitar or something.   Just let this original young girl be the show.

So are we winning away games now?

I’ve been laughing at her interactions with Morey on twitter.

Yeah....I think ill stick to embiid is a top 10 player comment.

When he’s motivated and in shape, he absolutely is. I’ve been happy with him so far, let’s see how it holds up over an entire season through. If he keeps his conditioning up and keeps playing under the rim, then it all but confirms that the biggest issue was BB coddling his players. Doc SEEMS to be making a big impact.

I don’t know if the numbers back this up but he seems to be taking far fewer threes and consistently doing his damage in the paint. I know he had 2 or 3 three point attempts last night, but they were wide open looks that he SHOULD be taking if they are there.

As a team, it was frustrating to see the defense give up so many points last night when they have been a top 2 defense this season. But, in past seasons I don’t think they’d have survived this game with Beal going off like he did.

Beal was unreal last night.  They finally clamped down on him in the 4th.

I wouldn’t say they clamped down. He just stopped making shots. He had a few wide open shots that just missed the mark. Either way, an incredible effort.

They put Simmons and Thybulle on him and started doubling him.  Right move to make.  Let the other Wizards beat you, not the guy who dropped 57 points in 3 quarters.  He was also probably exhausted.  Dude carried that Wizards team on his back and played the whole 3rd quarter.  This is a game the old Sixers teams lose 10/10 times.  Glad to have a legit coach who knows when to call time outs, manage rotations and get the team to close out games.

By far the most exciting and entertaining game to watch all season so far.

Will Joel play tonight?  We play Denver at 3pm Saturday.

I think he will.  I know Durant is out, but if we can hand the Nets a loss ourselves we should do all we can to do that.  Don't want to miss the opportunity to try, and end up relying on other teams to beat them at the end of the season if we are competing for seeding.

I think this is an important game that he will play in.

I think he will play against the nuggs too. But if you had to rest him in one,  I'd choose to rest him against the western conference team.

I'm no NBA guru, but it seems pretty common sense to not put the ball in a 60% FT shooters hands so the other team can foul him in a close game.  He's needed for his defense, but his touches down the stretch need to be limited to around the basket like they've been or when he has an open lane while swinging it around the perimeter.  Sucks but that's the reality.  Don't give the other team a chance to hack-a-Simmons.

Right.

And I'm not saying Doc hasn't made a huge difference... but it's just baffling that two NBA coaches now still can't realize Ben can't play point guard.

Now his teammates are starting to take the ball from him. So they're realizing he not getting it done right. When will the coaches come around?

I really don't think he's been point this year.  This offense runs through so many different players (mostly Embiid in some way).  Ben isn't bringing the ball up and setting up the half court nearly as much as in the past.  It's smart coaching to realize Ben can be utilized off ball.  Something BB couldn't figure out.  Him and Embiid have been working some two man games successfully this season.

That's true.  It's out of his hands much quicker on the half court if he does bring it up.

He has no where else he can play and no other true ball handlers on the team that you trust for 30 minutes a game.

Hawks are only playing Bogdanović 18 to 20 minutes a game. I would give up Thybulle and a highly protected 1st to get him.

If not trading Simmons, you need more shooters.

I still like Huerter and would be cheaper,  yet still an upgrade over Furkan

He is playing 28 plus minutes a game so in the rotation.

Winning now with Simmons is nice, but, unfortunately, history has shown that we'll be losing later, when it matters, with him.
