Maxey is officially untouchable.  4 more years of him on a cheap contract.  He has improved more in 4 games than Ben has in 4 years.

Im not watching. I see the amount of shots hes putting up. I assume extremely high usage. 0 turnovers so far. 

I hope someone puts together a cutup of maxey's game later on. I really want to see what hes looking like as the lead dog for the team.

His 10-12 foot floaters are crazy.  If he has that touch, he should learn to shoot the 3 well with two hands.

Paul Reed has 5 offensive rebounds. What a beast. 

Maxey shot 33 times. And shot over 50%. The refs did him a huge disservice. Theres no way with his playing style that he deserved 0 trips to the FT line. Thats a 39 point game that for an all star who gets calls is easily 10 more points at the line. 

And a rookie with the ball in his hands that much to have 0 turnovers. Incredible game. He should win ROY just from this game alone. No rookie will do anything better this year.

He can get to almost any spot and he knows when to hesitate and when to explode.  His body control at the top speed is crazy.  He obviously has the confidence.  I could see him being a good 4th quarter closer.  It will all come down to if he can become a good 3 point shooter.  I think he can be if he puts in the work.  I wouldn't be surprised if he is the Sixers best player in 2-3 years.

Keep Maxey away from Joel and Ben in the off season please.  He seems like a dude that will want to work hard and improve his craft.  Don't let the lazy "we have natural talent so we don't put work in" guys get in the way.

Maxey makes a case for more playing time. He probably deserves 4th quarter minutes over Simmons.

Well, you know with Barnett people wanted me to admit defeat pretty much immediately as they were impressed with his sacks that were actually unblocked, or against TEs, and I wouldnt do it. And then the next year, and the next year. And people think I just wont ever admit when Im wrong. (Well, I wasnt wrong about the Barnett pick, so thats why I wouldnt admit I was wrong).

Im here to admit I was wrong about the Maxey pick just 10 games in to his rookie season. And I could have even done it earlier. I didnt hate Maxey, I just hated the fit with our team because he wasnt a shooter. I never expected he would be SO good, that it just wouldnt even matter. What a freakin player. 

Maxey dropped 39?

Refs and Jokic were annoying the hell out of me. And it sucks that we couldn't field a proper team and lost at home. But on the plus side, Maxey was awesome (his floater is insane), Joe hit three 3's in a row I think and had some good shots in general, and Reed impressed me with his rebounding.

FYI just watched the game. Maxey took what was there which was a lot for him.  He doesn’t initiate contact or use his body on offense.  This was a clean 39 point night. He made the right reads in traffic and passed out. He's not near the point where he's trying to draw fouls.  If he learns that skill, watch out.  Not once did I think he was getting fouled with no call.

Kid balled today though. Looking forward to his development.
